Watanabe did 2 of his GOAT dropshots in a row and it worked wonders, 17-17

Funny that Watanabe is using one of the most colorful and beautiful rackets but decides to use the most boring looking pair of shoes LN has:rolleyes:

Where are you? Can Nishimoto clutch this for JPN and give Momo a chance to rise from the ashes again?

Not to worry, Yuta will be the face of LN and he will get all colorful stuff, they don't have many champs to promote.

Chinese team hasn't dropped a match so far in this Uber Cup. I have a feeling it might change today against Thailand

THA is no match for defending champion China today, their victory pioneered by leading man Shi YQ who power pasts Wangcharoen with relentless attacking shots, seems the Chinese smash is more lethal and powerful than pre severy injury as he has changed style of play dratically to be aggressive and explosive player. Perhaps he would find difficulty to face player who has superb defense and counter attacking shots. Then He/Zhou tandem making China leads quickly 2-0 with fast and furious pattern and more confident play despite Jomkoh/Kitinupong put stiff resistance in second game. Li SF assures semifinal spot for China after scores first ever winning of six encounters against nemesis Vitidsarn. Probably Thai rising star suffers accumulated fatigue, his movement so heavy and lack of accuracy and really passive in this very slow tempo match.

I'm surprised too but probably not for the same reason.

I'm surprised only because Kanta has put up a fight and Kenta is following the trend.

However, if you look at it - JPN MS all have higher ranks than KOR MS. In that regard, I am not surprised. Also factoring Yuta I am not surprised.

Kenta seems to be playing with a sort of rage at some point. Why can't Momota play with that kind of rage.

not so quick. Kenta has been doing all the shot making and hardwork, while Cho is most passive.

Cho has a bit more initiative in the 2nd game so far. if Kenta ever run out of juice at the intensity he is playing, there might be a closer game.

Not sure so. Maybe passive is just the way Cho plays.

I think Kenta took away Cho's sting in the first game.

I hope Momota can learn a thing or two from this showing of Taufik.

    Momota is too softy.

Ultimately JPN vs CHN, is more exciting Semifinals. 2nd vs 3rd seed. It doesnt get better than this. A repeat in MS and MD showdown on the card.( and also in Uber F)
