You have a serious point there, mate. Haven’t really looked at the whole thing from that perspective.
work for...? as in he is now playing for and representing the emirate of dubai? i think he's merely taking advantage of the different resources unavailable in denmark. that's quite a stretch. you would have to believe viktor and his partner, both born and raised in denmark, would have nothing to do with raising their own infant child with the same principles they were raised with and allow a new culture to simply absorb and indoctrinate their child through osmosis. i'd like to know how you think your fears play out?
Interesting news, VA invited Lakshya Sen, Loh Kean Yew, Toby Penty and two others to train at Dubai base source: https://www.badmintoncn.com/view-24077-1.html
Nobody will accept the offer since they are one among the contender. And their association wont accept as well. It seems like this is only for one month. I hope these players get accustomed to Victor's steep smashes and height , so that they can play well against any other player in the world. This is the best possible sparring partner for these players in the whole world (Height, steep smash and Olympics gold medallist)
Correct, at least accomodation is being taken care of by VA side. He may have deals negotiated with hotels etc. I know from experience that actually hotels in UAE are not overly expensive this time of year due to the searing heat.
Due to Trials to Sudhirman Cup, THomas Cup, Uber Cup, Lakshya Sen not gone there? Now, he can move there as he lost in the Group stage itself, he can go and work harder as this is the perfect opportunity for him to spare with Victor Axelsen . If he spare him, he will get confidence for his defensive play.
So this is a permanent move by Viktor to Dubai? He doesn't have a world class sparring partner in Dubai. I'm sure his sparring and training with Anton Antonsen before the Olympics helped Viktor to stay in top world class form so he could win the gold medal. Who does Viktor have to spar and train with in Dubai? This is a very odd decision.
No offense to the people of those countries, but none of those players are of the same caliber as Anders Antonsen. And Anders Antonsen is still getting better, which would help Viktor stay in his top world class form. Well, if Viktor can still win the big tournaments, maybe it will be worth it. We will see if Viktor's move to Dubai will work out at the World Championship.
