a fact presented in the context of opinion. other 'legends' have abysmal records against fellow legends. bestowing 'legend' status upon an athlete is an inherent opinion to start with, unless you can point me to a published and widely accepted criteria. i'd love to see it.
I am not saying he's right or wrong. I merely pointed out that calling people haters for stating their argument/reasoning is silly.
calling out people is 98% of the internet. otherwise it would just be an electronic library... which i prefer.
Doesn't mean it's right though. And calling out for what? It's just silly. Frontier justice. What a time to be alive. Much better to actually have a discussion, particularly when it comes to sports. It's fun.
uhhh... yup. but, by you calling out s_mair for calling out rc47 we be perpetrators of the silliness. fact.
Did I call him names? No. I just pointed out how silly it is to call someone hater for no good reason.
I can’t believe how easily people can get triggered. You do know that „haters gonna hate“ is a fairly common and endlessly used saying, right? Meaning, that if anyone really wants to find the fly in the ointment, they will find anything to justify their opinion. In this case, coming here even before the deciding match, trying to prematurely spoil a possible Olympic gold medal is nothing but classic internet trolling. And that’s what deserves being called out.
I wasn't triggered. I just pointed out that your post was pretty much useless as you added nothing to the argument. I was wondering why. That's it.
I hold Axelsen as the favorite player to win, 60-40 in his favor. He has played CL many times before and now VA is at his peak in every way. CL probably has nothing new in his gameplan that can really unsettle Viktor. The biggest obstacle for Axelsen could be nerves.
My first sentence was saying he's a great player lol I simply will never put him in the same category as LD and LCW since he always has a complete meltdown against Kento.
Congrats VA and Denmark, what a game, as close to LD's dominant 2008 display as it can get. Thoroughly deserved.
What a demonstration. He had fixed his mind on gold and didn't let go of it for a second the whole week. Amazing. And just look at the emotions. That's how it looks when an athelete's life goal is achieved I guess:
Well Momota is even less of a legend if he himself couldn't cope with the pressure of performing on his home soil. Axelsen got the last laugh at the end of the day.
The world number 1, who couldn't get past the group stage in the Olympics on his home soil... Hehehe... It doesn't matter who considers him a legend. He is World and Olympic Champion. End of story.
