I don't think anyone expect that version of CL to show up.

Simply class from CL, when i saw the draw that he meets LZJ, can almost say thats the toughest R16 opponent.

Almost no unforced errors from Chen Long. His net game is exquisite. Ginting didn't stand a chance

haha. his strategy is to direct country's hope and opposition's attention to his fellow countrymen, so that he has less pressure.

Congrats to CL, he has a better chance at stopping VA than ginting so I'm not too disappointed.

What an awesome display by Chen Long as he beat Anthony Sinisuka Ginting easily 21-16, 21-11. The CHN player will get to defend his Gold-Medal against Viktor Axelsen. It will be an interesting Final.

Meanwhile, Ginting has to settle for a Bronze-Medal playoff against Kevin Cordon tomorrow. I hope he gets at least a Bronze!

A little disappointed with today's semis.
2 straight games for both matches.
I was looking forward to 3 gruelling games, close ones.

when I looked at all the matches, it seems like VA has an easier way to reach the final vs CL.

agree. i wasn't expecting much from VA vs. KC, but got at least a good first game.

I was expecting a much more fast paced game, all out attack from ASG, but only got a glimpse of that at the first half of the 2nd game. ASG either brought the wrong plan, or too tired from yesterday.

Anders probably tired out ASG too much he could not recover on time to play CL.
