    The mental aspect in the big tournaments like Olympics is the difference between top players. Good skill level can't win you matches if you are weak mentally. Mulyo Handoyo was able to instil confidence in India's MS and showcase what they were capable of achieving. Unfortunately, Gopichand was never able to restore that confidence with his departure. Until India find a coach who can instil that mental confidence they will continue to struggle.

    I wouldn't underestimate Chen Long. I remember his China Open 2019 match where he gave Momota a run for his money
