INA : Daddies to retire, Minions to split up, Polii might retire within 1-2 yrs
CHN : CL might retire within 1-2 yrs
JPN : Endo to retire, Kamura/Sonoda might retire within 1-2 yrs

hey, TTY might even retire too

If they are bored, they might return and play for awhile, aka Lee Hyun-il.

I don't think CYF vs HBJ is fixed, it was 120 min tight fought gruelling game, If they want to fix it it would have been a straight games so that they are not tired for the next day's matches.

Wow, Kevin Cordon is a big surprise package here in badminton. Where's he been all these years, his talents lie buried ?

If his WR is low, then he wouldn't be able to play in the top grade tournaments, or get knocked out in qualifying or round 1.
He managed to find his form at the right time. If he get past VA tomorrow, then I'd say he's the best male player in Tokyo over Lee/Wang, even if he lost in the final.

Not gonna happen though. There is no way he is going to get past VA.

Although I like what i'm seeing here. He didn't let himself get intimidated by Heo Kwang Yee's screams. He gave him some back and with interest!

He is a street-fighter of badminton.

Wang/Lee stop a Chinese shutout - what a time to be alive :)

Just need Cordon to dump Axelsen and Ginting to get rid of Chen...

EDIT - and INA didn't get MD bronze? :D:D:D

Again, not sure why people are so against the RR to knockout stage. In a normal knockout, this TPE pair would be long gone in 1st round after losing to India.

But it's not a knockout, so what happened instead? They played some of the best badminton ever to come roaring back to win Gold. Unbelievable. Just fantastic badminton, who doesn't love that? (Ok, maybe those whose favorite pair didn't win, but as a fan of badminton in general, this was an amazing feat.)

Of course VA is another level, probably one of the.best, if not the very best. However lets not forget the fact that heo and angus are already another level for kevin, yet he beat them, with ease.

Of course i would say VA chance of winning is like, 90% even before the start pf the match. However i just hope that, well Kevin can produce yet another fight of his career. Isn't it wonderful to have such inspiring story in a small America country where someone relatively unknown, defies all odds, to well win at least a medal in Olympics?

Wang Chi-Lin, Lee Yang and Wang Tze Wei were all from the same middle. WCL was unable to overcome WTW, hence the coach decided to switch WCL to doubles.

    I think
It work out perfectly for Wang/Lee, I think they only lost one match in 2021, the Olympic first match against India. They have been in great form the past 7 months.
