You're welcome. The problem is for the majority of Chinese fans, not just badminton but all the sports, anything less than gold is considered a failure. What to do when your country is home to so many Olympic gold medallists and world champions in history in a number of sports, not to mention legendary greats and GOATs in some sports/games , and you're merely one among many (so, where's the rarity?).
My bad, I made an oversight, the MS is only at the QFs stage, not semifinals, so China's MS is not guaranteed of a medal yet in this discipline. We've to wait for the MS results tomorrow , the Shi Yuqi vs Axelsen match and the Chen Long vs Chou TC match. For the SYQ encounter with VA, it's hard to predict because as late as one month before the Olympics, Xia Xuanze was still unsure of SYQ's form and the extent of his post-injury recovery as there are too few international competition to gauge his condition, for playing against his fellow teammates in domestic events and simulation matches are simply not the same thing as the stakes involved and the pressure to perform aren't as unforgiving. I mean, your mental strength is not tested and there's no urgency to push yourself hard nor give of your very best (what for?). What's more, the H2H between the two is 1 - 4 in favour of VA, worrisome, isn't it? It will be a crucial match to decide who goes to the final as I don't see either Heo Kwang Hee or Kevin Cordon getting in their way at the semifinals.
For those interested, the badminton events at the China National Games started yesterday. Unfortunately, I don't have any links to broadcasts to post.

Not bad ah, Chen Long, after a narrow win in G1 by deuce 22-20, was in total command in G2 for a crushing 21-9 victory, in fact by reading Lee Cheuk Yiu's game well.
This YouTube channel has many videos from the National Games: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiaJQ7Qwc6jahLLwzo_ee9w/videos
There are also many games on the CCTV website but a VPN is required for watching due to their being geo-blocked to within China. https://search.cctv.com/search.php?qtext=全运会 羽毛球&type=video
Just as I was thinking of Li Shifeng as I haven't come across any of his matches, I checked the results and found he, playing for Jiangxi, actually drubbed HKSAR's Lee Cheuk Yiu in two convincing straight sets by the score of 21-8 and 21-11 ! Hope to catch his match later on replays.

The ZheJiang vs FuJian Women's Team match is now up in "二郎侃球"'s Weibo account: https://weibo.com/tv/show/1034:4679604141752415?from=old_pc_videoshow Huang YaQiong is in the second match starting at the 35th minute. The much discussed match between Chen YuFei and Han Yue starts at 1:47:00.
I feel so sorry for LGP. He lost to Liu Haichao in straight sets and again in straights sets today to Shi Yuqi. I was hoping against hope that he would beat Shi Yuqi today. That will help him to regain his self belief in a big way. So far the most impressive players among the second echelon players, in my opinion, are Weng Hongyang and Li Shifeng. Li Shifeng appears to me to be playing faster and more aggressively, thumping down one powerful smash after another especially against Lee Cheuk Yu.
