So, Watanabe will play 2 matches at the morning tomorrow

Why don't arrange him to play 1 at the morning and 1 at the end of the day.

    Stupid host

This indeed is worrisome, especially Mixed doubles being the first game and scheduled matches are just around 3 hours apart.

I am not aware, could any one throw some light, who prepares the order of play? Thank you.

I'm curious to know what he does, moving forward. It's quite an awkward situation for him, really.
If he decides to focus on XD, he has to live with the fact that his partner (though young), will never be at the level required to complement him.
In MD, he can continue with Endo for at most another couple seasons (if Endo doesn't retire immediately).
If Endo retires, he's without a partner and might have to start from the ground up again; much like how Wang Chi Lin climbed back to the top after his old partner retired. The only issue is, who - in the Japanese Unisys camp - can actually complement his skill set?

I don't know what to say, really disheartened. He needs change from his partners, it's obvious though, for MD he need a brute back court player, and for XD he needs a new female partner.
The Japs badminton bench wasted this Olympics

Man, Endo wasn't at his best like the AE2020 final brother, and its the harsh fact, and most probably Endo will retire this time. Kobayashi is the best bet in terms of what I have seen who could do great along with Watanabe. But all this is speculation in the end, we just wait and watch about what happens from now on

I don't think he'll ever pair with Kobayashi due to the fact that they are tied to different corporate teams. But it's a nice prospect.

First japanese male player to medal at OG.

Bronze this time but given he is young I believe he will do better in future.

Targeting two golds but gets one bronze. Massive disappointment for Japan

Even throughout the Bronze medal match, I never felt at ease cos Tang and Tse were playing their hearts out as well. I expected a fairly one sided affair but ended up watching a really good quality XD match.
