Definitely. Cordon is the guy who beat Chen Long in a World Championships but unfortunately suffered a serious knee injury after which might have prevented him to getting to that level again.
Wow, both seeds from Group C & D (Ng Ka Long and Sai Praneeth) are out. If Momota can get pass Heo Kwang Hee, he is likely to cruise pass his QF against winner of those two groups. I can’t see that Mark Caljouw or Kevin Cordon creating another upset, especially against Momota but we shall see.
Kevin Cordon strikes again! He just repeated another huge upset at the most prestigious badminton tournament in the world. NKL should have been weary of Kevin Cordon because of how Kevin knocked Chen Long out. That's unfortunate that NKL left this Olympics so early. He was such a huge prospect for HK this Olympics after he made the semi-finals of the All England. But losing 2 sets straight to Kevin Cordon ... yeah, NKL didn't play to his best today. An All-England semi-finalist, former ranked #4 in the world, and winner of the HK Super Series should not be losing in 2 sets straight to Kevin Cordon. Props to Kevin Cordon for upping his game today to create the upset.
Nice play by Brian Yang. Surprised he is ranked #44 in the world and he played CTC to such a close match. It says he is only 19 years old. If he can improve further, maybe Canada can have a top 10 badminton player for once. Congrats to CTC and Brian Yang for such a well played match!
Australia is showing two courts (1 and 2) right now on the Channel 7 Plus stream. You could try it with a VPN, perhaps?
https://www.eurosportplayer.com/ 7 EUR and you can watch any sport during these OG. Including all badminton games live + replay available.
Try this https://7plus.com.au/live-tv?channel-id=TOK21 It's a little bit flaky even for myself, despite being physically located in AU but a few refreshes in, it will work.
