If SatwikChirag won even one game yesterday, they would have topped. LeeWang second. And Minions would have been knocked out. As per my calculations. So in future every player/pair has to to keep in mind that these are the rules for everyone and try to finish the game at the earliest. Going on merit rather than depending on others is always favorable for athletes.

Considering it were a group of Death, I'm satisfied by SatwikChirag performance. Win against WR3 LeeWang and straights victory against British pair. It's fine by me.

Exactly! They took it easy against INA pair. Even a game against them would have taken them to the next round.
    This is so sad.

That's what I thought. I think most of the people thought the same. But Lord has some twists for us haha. Tough pill to swallow but okay, I hope it guides them well in future .

I dun think soh/chia can even win future tournaments. 1 or 2 at most. Qtrfinal if lucky. Thanks to korean napping on match 1 they went thro. ;) Korean needs to kick themselves. Lol

Chia reminds me of hth. No power and mobility and stamina. Heavy. Lol. He is good in low shots and placing only.

    MD group-stage conclusion :

    GROUP WINNER :
    A : Gideon/Sukamuljo (INA)
    B : Endo/Hayakawa (JPN)
    C : Li JH/Liu YC (CHN)
    D : Ahsan/Setiawan (INA)

    RUNNER-UP :
    A : Lee Y/Wang CL (TPE)
    B : Astrup/Rasmussen (DEN)
    C : Kamura/Sonoda (JPN)
D : Aaron Chia/Soh WY (expected the Malaysians will overcome Canadian pair later on in second session).

Lee Y/Wang CL celebrate their first ever victory over the famous Minions, the Taiwanese duo had nervous start then lost to Rankireddy/Shetty at previous match. The world #3 pair show significant improvement in defense aspect, counter attack and their speed to balance fast furious rival, they push the Indonesians at defensive mode several times successfully. The Daddies exact tactic plus vast Olympic experience bring them to beat nemesis Choi/Seo who don't indicate good shape in this mega event. Also the ambitious Chinese towering duo especially the usual flat emotion Li Junhui who play excellent this morning to subdue Kamura/Sonoda. Just waiting knock-out phase draw out which will be conducted later after last match of group stage tie is completed tonight.

Maybe they are just taking the risk thinking Minions will beat LeeWang (LeeWang will be under huge pressure). I guess that sports. The games and points are there.

At least its not as bad as Archery when Japan vs Korea yesterday, when the last points after equal shootout is decided by the arrow that is closest to the 10.. and the bronze medal match ended that way as well for Japan.

Yeah even I thought after SatwikChirag win against LeeWang that they are 95 percent through if they win against British pair. Haha I pinned my hopes on Minions to win against LeeWang.

Talking about archery, Korea is the GOAT the way China is in TT, Diving, Weightlifting. So Japan stretching Korea that far is praiseworthy.

How did Fukushima and Hirota lose? And they only got 8 points in the 3rd set. Is it because of Hirota's injury?
