What happened to yonex design team? Are designers in vacation/resigned/wfr and the project managers/leads are acting like designers???

    So 100Tour might replace ZX.

    Its nowhere to be found.

Took me several months to adapt to the zz, great racket but the colour is extremely boring.

Yonex should take note from Li Ning and bring out a zz with n9ii FHF colour scheme - matt black decorated with shiny iridescent gold accent. Put N9ii FHF next to the n700 black & yellow edition and its still days and night apart. Yonex produce great rackets but they're are in need of better designers and paint workshop.

Nobody seems to have both the ZZ and ZX to compare, so I made myself the guinea pig.

Long story short, ZX is not a dumbed down ZZ. It's a completely different racket. The only similarity they have (aside from the name and the design) is the head shape.

Swinging the ZX feels much head-heavier and less manoeuvrable than ZZ. ZX has the typical top heavy weight distribution (like 88D) instead of being similar to ZZ. ZX shaft is also much more flexible.

For reference, I also have a 88D Pro. Compared to ZX, 88D Pro has a noticeably stiffer shaft and is very slightly more aerodynamic.

Last but not least, 100ZX paint job feels cheap af. If somebody hand this to me and say it's a fake, I may actually believe them.

Not the 88S/88D Tour Game review but the Astrox 100 ZZ/Tour/Game comparison, the first of 3 videos.
The 88S and 88D Pro/Tour/Game review and comparison up next!

Are there any differences between the old and the new color of 100zz? I know that Yonex loves changing the racket specs under the same name with different color eg. astrox 77 green.

My Kurenai unit is slightly head heavier than my Navy one (about 0.5g head weight more). But may just be unit variation. Everything else is identical.
