Just checked the Mizuno's Facebook and I noticed there are new colorways called "Reach Beyond" for the Mizuno Wave Claw, Neo, and Fang Zero for the three main ambassadors of Mizuno badminton (Okuhara, Setiawan, and Ahsan). Okuhara might use the new colorway of the Wave Claw late 2020 or possibly next year. 104427741_2850671648377552_962431060219935343_o.jpg

If anyone is wondering what car she bought, it was the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque.

As a Nozomi Okuhara fan, I am happy to announce that she shows how she does her grip on the Altius 01 Feel Special Edition Racket :D:D! Very interesting she rips the cushion wrap again and folds it for the cap of her racket.

Okuhara Nozomi has been appointed as the "2021 calendar model" for the Nagano Prefectural Police. I can quite imagine her in this role. :D

Great play by Okuhara! I have been waiting for her to do what I believe she is capable of. It takes stamina and I can see she has worked on that. Many times she reached the finals and it takes a lot of stamina to get to the final and then on the final day, when you need stamina, it is not there. She has got the intelligence, the skills, the speed, the power when she needs to do some smashing, and most importantly - the fighting spirit.

She dominated that tournament and the way I see it she is now an even stronger contender (compared to pre covid) for a medal at the Tokyo 2020 +1 games.

Congrats to Nozomi! Despite the lack of competition (except in the finals), it's well deserved. She smashed her weaker opponents and it is a mark of respect, she never took her smaller ranked opponents for granted and gave her best. The scores speak for themselves... also she never let go of a single set and received 115 points while she scored almost double or 210 points during the whole tournament or 5 matches!

I can see she is changing up her play. Hope she wins titles rather than being runner up finalist!

One obvious change is she's now using more backhand shots (clear, drop) to neutralize instead of forcing herself to play the round the head shot in her deep backhand corner. Much like TTY, this is much less tiring than before.

Congratulations to Nozomi Okuhara for winning her second AE title! She played a consistent game against Chuchuwong who had a hard time bringing the level she had against PV Sindhu, I really thought finals would be closer. Okuhara showed her fitness is still enough to play two long 3 game matches before taking it out in finals. Either way it was a nice win and look forward to seeing her play in Tokyo.
