The JP XD were very impressive - where has this Kaneko guy been? :)

Two possible double-champions... what a year.

What the heck is up with the stats before the matches, half the time they're wrong and Gill Clark has to tip toe around it. Something basic as this should be checked, it's just a few details. If you don't know what I mean then check out the warm up for MD finals o_O

Watanabe is so good. He has a chance to get two first places today, in MD and XD. Too bad Indonesia had to withdraw from this tournament or else we could have watched a repeat of the minions vs Watanbe/Endo again.

Watanabe and Endo have such good defense. Reminds me of their defense against the minions last year at AE. Watanabe/Endo are definitely within the top 3 favorite to win gold at the Olympics this year, if they can stay healthy and keep up their game.

And Watanabe has a chance to win a second first place today in his XD match. We will see if he can do it.

Watanabe is insanely talented. Might be sitting on 4 All England Trophies tonight, at the age of 23. The defence is almost unbreakable. Points scored against his teams almost always by targeting Endo and Higashino. If they find a good partner for him after Endo retires, he will dominate Mens Doubles for sure. On his way to an All Time Great already.

Which, like all the other results during this pandemic, should not be taken too seriously. Soo many players missing, out of form, out of shape, didn't have practice opportunities, had to withdraw etc.
