B+ means the whole team B + some of others. right ?

I wonder Nishimoto go out his club because of Olympic, so that whether he can come to take part in Swiss Open first ?

"B+" usually means the upper part of Team B, and the lower part of Team A. For example, in terms of WS, we would be talking about Ohori Aya and Takahashi Asuka. In MS, there would be Naraoka Kodai and Watanabe Koki.

Provided that the NBA grants permission, players are free to enter up to a certain number of international tournaments as independently-financed players. So, Nishimoto could, theoretically, have entered for the Swiss Open, even as a Tonami player. However, occasionally, there are corporate team constraints, especially, if domestic events take place at the same time.

That aside, I really can't fathom what is happening in Japan at the moment; I only know that it is alarming, in terms of players keeping their competitive edge.

The tournament calendar (PDF) published by the NBA has Japan entered for the Swiss Open, German Open All England, etc. However, on the NBA website, the list of 2021 tournaments only features domestic events/international tournaments held in Japan. Furthermore, on this website the Osaka International Challenge (March 31 - April 4) is actually shown, although on the BWF calendar, it has already been cancelled.

I am not sure whether the corporate teams are preventing the players (their employees) from participating in any overseas competitions. Whatever the case, Park Joo Bong, who appears powerless to do anything, must be totally distraught.

Let's hope, If he (Kenta) doesn't take part, so that he leaves his club for nothing.

Park Joo Bong and NBA is the best system in the world (in comparison with Malay or Indo) ^-^, he will be fine

Malaysia Open and Malaysia Masters in limbo
    By Kng Zheng Guan - February 6, 2021 @ 7:02am
    https://www.nst.com.my/sports/badminton/2021/02/663525/malaysia-open-and-malaysia-masters-limbo

THE BA of Malaysia (BAM) have refused to rule out the outright cancellation of the Malaysia Open and Malaysia Masters but admitted a postponement is very likely on the cards.

Both the Malaysia Open (March 31-April 4) and the Malaysia Masters (April 6-11) are part of a tournament bubble similar to last month's Asian leg of the BWF Tour in Bangkok.

The current state of the Movement Control Order (MCO), which ends on Feb 18, is putting all plans in a tight spot.

BAM secretary-general Datuk Kenny Goh said they are awaiting feedback from the Badminton World Federation (BWF) before deciding on both meets.

"We have not received a reply from the BWF yet," said Kenny.

"But the truth is, there are many protocols and standard operating procedures to study, and a lot of preparation needs to be done to have the tournaments ready by the scheduled dates.

"We feel that time is not our side as there are too many uncertainties.

"However, we hope the BWF will be open to postponing the Malaysia Open instead of cancelling the tournament as it is part of the Olympic qualifiers.

"The faster we can decide on this, the better it will be for us to engage with our sponsors and relevant parties.

"However, we understand that as much as the world body want to get it resolved, they have a lot of considerations to look into as well."

The Malaysian meets are not the only competitions in jeopardy as the Badminton Asia have already called off the Asia Mixed Team Championships, scheduled for this month.

Additionally, the Singapore Open on April 13-18 and the Asian Championships on April 27-May 2 could also be called off.

The big pickle for the BWF in postponing both the Malaysian meets would be to find new suitable dates in a calendar already affected by the Covid-19 situation.
    _______

*Looks like gloomy prospect ahead, either postponement or cancellation for April tournaments.

Changes to HSBC BWF World Tour 2021 Tournament Calendar
    Friday, February 19, 2021
    TEXT BY BWF STAFF
    https://bwfworldtour.bwfbadminton.c...hsbc-bwf-world-tour-2021-tournament-calendar/

The Badminton World Federation (BWF) can announce changes to the HSBC BWF World Tour 2021 tournament calendar.
    • The CELCOM AXIATA Malaysia Open 2021 (Super 750) will now occur 25-30 May.
    • The PERODUA Malaysia Masters 2021 (Super 500) has been postponed until further notice.
    • The Singapore Open 2021 (Super 500) has been moved to the new dates of 1-6 June.
Badminton Association of Malaysia and Singapore Badminton Association made the respective decisions in consultation and collaboration with the BWF.

Both cited ongoing COVID-19 complications and wished for the tournaments to be delayed.

In securing new dates for the CELCOM AXIATA Malaysia Open and Singapore Open, BWF confirms the Indonesia Masters 2021 and Indonesia Open 2021 have been postponed also.

Replacement dates for those tournaments will be announced in due course.

The Olympic Qualifying period for the Race to Tokyo will now close on 15 June 2021, with the last tournament counting for qualification being the Singapore Open 2021.

BWF is working with the IOC to update the Tokyo 2020 qualification system whereby the final updated regulation will be shared once ready following formal approval by IOC.

Preparations for upcoming HSBC BWF World Tour tournaments continue as international badminton is set to resume with the YONEX Swiss Open 2021 (2-7 March) and YONEX All England Open 2021 (17-21 March).
    ________

*Sudirman Cup 2021 will not going as scheduled (23-30 May) following the postponement of MAS Open.

UK openly supports HK independence from China and allow HKers to the resident/ citizen of UK if they would like to.

Puh , so than maybe Sudirman-Cup and Thomas & Uber-Cup within two or three weeks. I think it doesn't work so many highlevel tournaments in one year of pandemic. But let's see what will happen.

We don't need Sudirman Cup now that Thomas & Uber Cup are going to be held this year.

No, we need it. There are not enough individual tournament because there are not enough sponsors.

Also almost no junior tournament last year and this year

You guys are so gullible with conspiracy theories.

Basically, if a person arrives into China (or HK) there is a 21 to 28 day quarantine. Those associations have to decide whether it’s worth having their athletes out of action for three weeks.

Secondly, China couldn’t play in Thailand because they couldn’t get permission from their medical association which has more power over this issue. Permission was withdrawn at late notice and that possibly was due to the UK covid mutation spreading around.

Why? Both events (TUC & SC) have equal prestige.
