ahsan/setiawan vs. the longest name in bwf history(?)... Yeremia Erich Yoche Yacob RAMBITAN

30 letters, 13 syllables. more letters & syllables than m.ahsan/h.setiawan combined. love it!

Can someone from the BWF marketing team explain why they had streaming capacity today to show MULTIPLE matches of no-seed vs no-seeds player matches, yet have not decided to show (by-far) the best matchup of the day in lee/kim vs ranki/shetty? Or the highest seeded MD pair in ahsan/setiawan?

Do you all realize this is the first global badminton tournament in almost a year, and everyone wants to see those guys play, and not multiple matches where no one knows who anybody is, with all due respect to the players.

Not much exciting names on the tournament and we know who.. plus any tournament will lose the to beat factor if WR 1s are missing..

It doesnt mean the winner is not worth it though. any winner will still worth it , its just weird that 4 catagories missing WR1.

Maybe its hard to say because its R1. AhsanHendra is involved in all INA affair. i'm sure they will try to put Yonex players first, too?

lee yong dae, kim gi jung, ranki/shetty are all yonex players.

And even if ahsan/setiawan are playing in an INA vs INA match... How can you justify not streaming either of those two matches, yet stream ALL 3 of these matches

Neslihan Yigit (TUR) vs. Pornpawee Chochuwong (THA)
    Jomkoh/Kedren (THA) vs. Lamsfuss/Seidel (GER)

    Gicquel/Delrue (FRA) vs. Mikkelsen/Søby (DEN)

At the very least have have them broadcast the matches without commentating if they're lacking the manpower, but why in the world would they shortchange the fans on purpose like this. Do they think badminton is so popular that they have to do this to make it fair for all the other sports?

Im sure they will show when ShettyRR plays AhsanHendra tomorrow.

Just wondering if AhsanHendra win these next 3 tournaments, is it enough for them to be WR1? and surely almost the oldest WR1 pairs (comparable with Boe/Mogensen)

Oh man. Rasmussen gave that away for free, what a disappointing end to the 2nd game....wonder if nerves got to him. Danish pair looked a bit out of it, maybe a lack of match practice affecting them more than others...?

That MD game Jonkoh/Kedren v Lamsfuss/Seidel was really good. Thrilling

which channel/stream are you watching on? I’m on Sg watching on a paid cable tv channel and can watch both courts 1 & 2

Liew Daren on fire so far. Wonder if this is his one good match per year (where all his gambles pay off) or if Antonsen will get into it and start tightening the thumb screws....if I were a betting man, my money would be on the latter :D

Apparently, Kashyap pulled his calf muscle. He is yet to decide if he would play the next tournament next week.

Wow, Darren Liew can win this match. He promised to "fight" for the sponsor and he did now

I thought if you retired, you have to skip the following tournament?

Well, Anders blew it. Slightly annoying because you just know Liew will muck up the next match and it'll hardly be a contest, especially given how he couldn't catch his breath in such a short match AND apparently pulled his back. I'll be absolutely shocked if he manages to win the next one, even more so than today.

People forgot AA just recovered from Covid. Bought games 2-0 and 2-1 for DL at 17 & 19 respectively. What a huge upset (which isnt suppose to be if you dig deeper). Nice one DL

I suppose he is referring to lower chance of match fixing as DL has a source of income (i.e. sponsors). Quite a cynical comment and not entirely appropriate if you ask me

Liew is so fascinating to watch, probably the best technique at the moment (especially disguise area) very pity that he is plagued by health problems.
