    there are 2 options:
    1. sit on your hands and wait, or
    2. move forward.
re. #1 - how long should you wait? even with a vaccine the world will have to live with c-19 to some degree for years to come.

post tokyo 2020+1 would be the perfect timely opportunity for badminton to overhaul its system. change is needed. band-aids are pointless.
bwf can show if it's capable of doing what is best for the sports future.
i believe in miracles... :D

    That's what I wait for...;)

    QUARTERFINAL (02.00pm) => https://bwfworldtour.bwfbadminton.com/tournament/3801/danisa-denmark-open-i-2020/results/2020-10-16

A quarterfinal "big match" in men's singles as expected will pit second seed Chou Tien Chen and 2017 Champion K. Srikanth, the former is favoured to book semifinal spot according to his current form and their head to head stats when Chou won 5 times of 6 encounters. Still interesting clash to watch between these two established players. Indian future star Lakshya Sen fails to reproduce superb feat in last sixteen, lost to the well-determined seasoned-campaigner Hans Kristian Vittinghus who finds Kenta Nishimoto next. A touching moment might be arrived today when Jan O Jorgensen will take on fellow countryman Anders Antonsen, this could be his last international match for 2010 winner.

The very ambitious Carolina Marin practically has no serious trouble en route to last eight where the Spanish sensation will be challenged by Zhang BW who's expected to deliver better resistance today. One close contest should be provided by home favourite Mia Blichfeldt against world number 10 Michelle Li, the winner of this tie highly likely to face tough foe in final four, 2017 World Champion Nozomi Okuhara.

A major upset occured in men's doubles yesterday, one of the frontrunners Astrup/Rasmussen were stunned by compatriots Eipe/Kjaer in three games, world #12 didn't play well and struggling to stem their opponent aggressive play, leaving Ellis/Langridge and Russian Ivanov/Sozonov as hot favourites to top podium here. Meanwhile women's doubles category, Japanese aces sail through into last eight without any difficulties, Matsutomo/Nagahara have noteworthy rival to pay attention more, local duo Fruergaard/Thygesen, the Dane created sensational run in INA Masters early this year.

I think his first point is true. Hkv defence was good and lakshya had to toil hard for every point.

Second point , when he was in full swing he could only do much with his play as his play was so monotonous in that second and parts of third game. He was needlessly playing cross court smashes which made him take a longer route when hkv defended those smashes.

Third point , he should really play some more drops. His sliced, slower shots worked well but there should have been more change in pace by playing drop shots. His game looks easy to decode sometimes, needs to vary the pace.

Next saarlorlux open, he is second seed. Draw is favourable as most of the players are IC and super 100 level players against whom he has played a lot last year. Let's see how it goes.

The point before challenge was 6-2, but after that it's 7-3.

Someone on youtube pointed it out. I don't know when we can stop this. nishimoto vs leverdez.jpg

Marin giving the shuttle back after losing a point seems to deliberately push it onto the wrong side for the opponent to serve from.

    :-/

On the contrary, I think she's going to sleep like a log - she looks exhausted...and that's the difference in the 2nd/3rd games, I think.

Pity because, as you say, she was in control.

Always feel a bit sorry for her with no coach supporting her

Have to reduce the volume of the television while watching her match o_O. Just too loud and combine that with the way she was giving back the shuttle
