Leverdez, Gemke, Vittinghus are the main rivals in top half, do it this time Nishimoto.

What's going on, why haven't they published the order of play? Not on tournamentsoftware, not on BWF page... There is no link for upcoming live session on BWF TV. Matches are supposed to start at 9 tomorrow!! I'm getting worried haha.

    BADMINTON COLD COMEBACK
The wait is over after seven-month hiatus since All England completion in mid March, badminton fans are delighted to welcome the resumption of HSBC-BWF World Tour this week which take place in Odense. Unfortunately, the reality is far from expectation, plagued by the persistent COVID-19 pandemic that forcing almost all Asian top echelon shuttlers opt out from Denmark meet following the postponement of Thomas-Uber Cup Finals. Latest massive blow exacerbated by a string of Japanese elite players pulled out including defending champion Kento Momota. A blessing in disguise for low-ranked participants who able to compete in the supposed to be highly competitive Super 750 tournament.

    BOTTOM HALF SPOTLIGHT
World number two Chou Tien Chen alongside local star the exuberant Anders Antonsen are pitted to face off in semifinal. Another names to pay attention, former champions Srikanth Kidambi who suffering lackluster performance since his 2017 sterling season. Also Jan O Jorgensen who will close his badminton career and bid farewell here, in front of his home fans. Kenta Nishimoto is expected to capitalize this rare opportunity to score inspiring result in the absence of his illustrious compatriot Momota, some names might posed obstacle to derail final mission, Rasmus Gemke, Hans Kristian Vittinghus and Brice Leverdez. First round clash will offer interesting clash between two young aspirants, 2018 YOG silver medalist Lakshya Sen and 2019 WJC silver medalist Christo Popov.

    WORLD CHAMPS RIVALRY
Undoubtedly both Carolina Marin and Nozomi Okuhara will be the highlight in women’s singles category of this silent tournament. Marin tops Race of World Tour Finals ranking, thanks to her positive outcome in previous six tours, the Spanish sensation is slated to meet US representative Zhang Beiwen, the only player who considered to deliver trouble in last quarter. Meanwhile Okuhara stands at #11 of World Tour Finals ranking at the moment and chance open wide to sneak into top 8 this weekend. Either home protagonist Mia Blichfeldt or Canadian prospect Michelle Li would be Okuhara primary opponent in semifinal stage.

    LESS ATTRACTIVE DOUBLES
It’s practically European Games in men’s doubles action, starring Danish number one Astrup/Rasmussen, former All England Champion Ivanov/Sozonov and Rio OG bronze medalists Ellis/Langridge. Japanese women’s doubles are overwhelming favourite here, powered by reigning All England champion Fukushima/Hirota and two-time World Champions Matsumoto/Nagahara who will take on Western challenges, the latter should be wary of well-improved Fruergaard/Thygesen and familiar Bulgarian duo Stoeva Sisters en route to their final road. Golden chance for strong contenders Ellis/Smith to clinch top flight BWF tournament title in the absence of formidable Asian leading combinations. France, German and Russian pairs alongside The Adcocks may steal the limelight in mixed doubles showcase.

    Hello Friends,

I hope you all are doing great and are in the best of your health.Though I have distanced myself from regular posts, however, resumption of our beloved sport is indeed the best news we could have asked for in this year of thrones and this post is just a reflection of my wild exuberance as a Badminton Fan.

Im super excited to watch my favs though,SYQ,PVS aint playing but Glad that CM and FukuHiro are here to add to my excitement.I hope all of you enjoy the denmark open which is the only blessing that seems to be bestowed upon the Badminton Fans this year by the Almightly.

Lastly..I request and wish you all take great care of yourselves and make sure to wash or sanitize your hands at regular intervals.

I love you all my fella Badfans

O wow. Sen vs Popov. Hope I can see that on the YT channel. That's going to be hype! Really excited to see lower-ranked players in this tournament, as they don't have much recognition and don't succeed with the successful players we have seen for the past years.
