I was really gonna get the Yonex 65Z2 but I'm thinking if Yonex is going to release the 65Z3 perhaps this year since the 65Z2 was released mid last year and the previous shoe was released somewhere in 2018? Main reasoning is because I'm afraid if I were to get the 65Z2 it would be considered "old stock" and the rubber might have hardened already. Shop claims that the shoes are only a few months old since getting them from supplier but you never know that they may have been sitting in the shop since last year. So I'm thinking of playing it safe by waiting and buying a new product.
@Wyne are you sure that's a badminton shoe? looks more heavy duty/bulky like it's for another sport tbh edit:nvm it's definately for badminton, looks like a durable model possibly. The first pic made it look deceptively bulky but other pics make it look pretty normal. Not seen that model before now.
Yes it is badminton shoe, i found it in sunriseclick online. I nvr heard of it before too, but myb its not high end as the 65 model. But it do looks durable in the picture. Need some review if anyone here been using it.
Yeah I think it's one of their low or mid end models as it seems to lack the carbon plate and the sole doesn't look as good as the high end gum rubber soles. Nonetheless it could be a good shoe for the price.
Owh so its low to mid range? Means it only last 1.5-2 yrs maximum? I tot it could be better since it do look durable and tough. And just now a fren told me if buying yonex, u have to get those rm400-500 above to last longer and very comfortable use. Below than that better get mizuno or asics he said. Cos below rm300+ just normal like for beginner. Is that true?
Ok thanks. 1 more thing, abt yonex shoe size. I see slightly different number between asics and yonex size. My current asics is US8=26cm=41.5 Euro. But i compare to yonex size chart, US8=26cm=40.5 Euro. So i was very confuse abt the Euro size 1cm different. Is yonex size slightly smaller than asics even the number show same size? Or bigger? If i wanna buy yonex shoe, which size should i choose to fit me, should i go up the size? My asics size is nice n very comfortable with my foot.
I did go to few shop that selling yonex at my place, but all of them out of stock for size from us7.5 to us8.5. Only left us7, us9.5, us10, us10.5 n us11. Very limited oso, not much choice, most are cheaper low end. I tried 9.5 too big for my foot. So i plan to buy online.
Maybe you can try buying from Vsmash online. Lazada should have a return policy but double check if you can try the shoe and if the size is not right, you can return it.
Yonex size is smaller 0.5 to 1 size smaller. I bought a pair of 65z2 and realised should have gotten 1 size larger. Sold it off after that. Like what Kevin said, get from those you can exchange if the size doesnt fit. Or get from the retail store/try it out first.
Not always the case. I wear uk 9 in normal shoes or running shoes and also wear uk 9 yonex shoes. To me there's no real difference except that yonex likes a snug fit at the mid foot for some models.
