Currently, I found a new badminton brand which is YOUNG. This brand design and quality are really good and attractive. All the design concept focus on youngster preferences. I began to pay attention to this brand because of Young brand ambassador - Pornpawee Chochuwong (Thailand Women Single Player) won Super Series 300 Spain Barcelona Masters 2020. I like this brand design very much. If who know Young brand can share with your opinion and experience with using Young brand productshttps://bwfworldtour.bwfbadminton.com/news-single/2020/03/19/with-promising-early-season-chochuwong-makes-inroads/
This is a Malaysian badminton brand and used to be called Yang Yang, in which the legendary China singles player, Yang Yang was a co-founder. It's been around for a long time but not really popular mainly it lacks the financial capability of the big boys. However, I'm seeing more aggressive brand exposure in the last 2 years since it was relaunched at Young. https://www.yangyang-rg.com/
Their products are interesting. I would buy and try their products if available in Europe. I like the clothing and shoes. I never tried the rackets. A few things I've noticed though: - I received some "host error" messages when browsing on their website. - way way too many rackets to choose from. A narrower selection with distinctive racket specs is mandatory at this point. There are 15 different racket series available with not enough distinct specification among all those models. It's just too confusing and quickly lost me. - I would like to know the specs of the racket in further details. For example their model named Breakthrough 80 (with a wavy design looking a lot like the latest AX100 btw! Except for the purple colour) do not even mention the rigidity of the shaft. - no presence in Europe.
Thank you. They do have a European website actually! Going to email them to know if it's possible to order from France and try some products. I'll share my experience if I push through!
Cool. I know the guy here in Denmark for Yang Yang, his kids play in the same club as me so if you need any further I can ask him
Thank you! That's awesome, I'll let you know if I do. Pricing is reasonable and I'm tempted to try their racket and strings. I like the idea of having something different than other players in my clubs. As long as I'm satisfied with the equipment obviously but I don't see why it wouldn't work for me at my level. Unfortunately the shoes and clothes I was interested in aren't available in my size but I'll still shoot him an email to know more about how he works and when does he expect some products to be restocked.
You can order yang yang stuff in Europe from Germany at https://shop.siamsports.de/ Their site is only available in german but they do ship to France. I never ordered something there so I can't tell how reliable they are. my club mainly uses the yangyang202 shuttles and those are approved in many leagues around here.
Thank you! I guess I need to reconsider my googling skills as I never found anything in Europe and you guys showed me two different websites already hehe. Yet they don't have shoes on this website, which is my priority right now (well when I can step on court again after the confinement is over), but well I can see the brand is actually present in Europe, I was wrong.
https://www.yangyang-rg.com/product-category/shoes/ This website has lots of footwear and they have an online store also.
I don't think things are all too well with Young. I tried contacting them through FB,messenger, email. Took few days to get a response. I was looking to bring in few pairs of shoes to test them out. I was forwarded Mr. Young's whatsApp. After initial responses, didn't hear back from him either. They wouldn't sell me any shoe citing that there is quality control issue with all series except the Future 2. So, not sure what's going on with them.
The real Yang Yang had given up his company and this newly rebranded company has got nothing to do with him. From far it does look like from the evil empire.
