Probably the one with the highest swing weight...that will be the 88S 3U (86kg vs 89kg)

Have you tried comparing the 88/68 to the 38?

I would say they are about the same and it comes more down to if you are used to medium/stiff or stiff rackets.

From theory and assuming you have the technique of pro level it would probably be the 88s in 3u. But since none of us is at that level, smash speed and effortless clearing is decided by preference of racket specs.

How is the 3U 88D? I am strictly looking for a review on the 3U model, but it seems that everyone in this thread is using a 4U.

Some people here entraped on thinking that 4U is for double & 3U is for single.
But 3U/4U/5U is just a matter of preference & physical capability to wield it. Well, i use 3U HH racket myself & play mostly double.

Once i tried friend 88D 4U, it have good punch but i myself still think if its 3U, it would be better. So, no one can say 3U or 4U is better for you, so test it yourself is better, unless ofcourse you tell us what is your historical racket preference.

IME, Aerosonic and zymax 62fire at 26 lbs are great strings for AX88S 3U, but my opinion may not absolutely work for you. Just give them sometime to bed in on the racket. You can break them in by performing some walling apart from your games. However, I prefer the zymax 62F more than the Aerosonic due to the former's longer tension retension compared to the latter, which can decrease in responsiveness much quicker than the 62F. 62F has been my go to string for the 88S for sometime now. I've tried aerobite and 66U before but on different rackets so i can't tell if i'd like them also on the 88S.

    Joining ur way guys..

Just bought the AX88D 4ug5 (3u not available anywhere). The dry swing is great, head heavier but I can hear the whipping sound when I test!! Will play and give a feedback. Mine is not going to be a new, anyways it will be 1000++ reviews already!!

    Guys,

In 88d and s where all this “namd” thing is there? I know definitely it’s available in the shaft but is it available in frame as well?? The reason I ask this is, I saw ax99 and saw namd written in the frame as well but not in 88

    any pointers?? @Ch1k0

Uhh if I recall the marketing spew correctly 88S and D only had it in the shaft. They did shove it everywhere in the 99 though.

hei guys,This is my first time posting in this forum.I was searching around for a racquet for 1 -2 weeks and came into conclusion to get a 88S 4UG5.I have only use 88S for 2 sessions. My current racket is BS09 Victor been using this for around 5 years.I am a beginner to intermidiate player.Play twice a week,2-3 hrs per session. Here are my opinion on this racket.I be mostly comparing 88S with BS09 as i only have those two.

Stiffness : 88S very stiff compare to BS09
Power : Currently i only can play with 88S with a maximum of 2 games before my arms are sore from all the smashing.Need more energy to generate smash due to the stiff shaft.Due to me unable to flex the 88Sshaft constantly.i feel that My bs09 can generate more power to smash down the opponent.
Speed : i think BS09 has faster speed due to the handle are smaller.
Precision : this is where 88S shines in.drops are more precise.General drive and lob are more precise compare to BS09.

Overall opinion : 88S is not a racquet for beginners. You wont be able to play like kevin. You need sufficient wrist power to wield it.If you have the power and stamina then 88S will be a very good racquet for precision, drop, smash and defend. In the meantime for me,i will cont to use the 88S to train my wrist and arm.If fatigue kicks in i will swap to BS09.
