Live streaming from Badmintonworld Tv youtube is not geoblocked in AU. That's unusual, I thought most SF matches onward always get geo-blocked here.

Same in Germany . Until now you could download the videos from all tournaments. Now something changed and download isn't possible anymore. Anybody the same problem ?

    the next world tour tournament
the playing conditions are the responsibility of 2 parties: the host/organizer & bwf (referee & onsite tournament managers). however, once a tournament starts it means nothing if neither party can do anything about it. this is the likely scenario:
    1. players complain to the bwf referee ('hey, it's too cold in here')
    2. referee mentions it to the host/organizer & bwf onsite tournament managers ('can we fix the temp?')
    3. bwf tournament managers ask the host/organizer if the venue temperature can be corrected to fit within the suggested temperature range in the bwf regulations ('can you fix the temp?')
    4. if the answer is 'we are trying to correct it' or a flat out 'no', well, nothing changes and play continues.
bwf regulations are almost never complied with 100% due to the uncontrollable variances, circumstances and competence of host/organizers around the world. bwf will never cancel a tournament outright unless ordered to do so by a gov't entity, or the host/organizer cancels it. bwf's financial contribution is insignificant so they have next to zero say in the matter.

how can they suddenly tell a host/organizer to cancel an event they paid a lot of money to present?

how would they answer to the athletes who are trying to make a living? try telling the players, after they've spent their whole life trying to get here, you're cancelling a tournament because a few people might be contagious, or it's colder than what you're used to.

bwf's implied stance is 'if you don't feel it's safe to play, don't play. the choice is yours...' and 'if it gets canceled talk to the local gov't or host/organizer. we're not the ones canceling it. it's not our decision.'

so despite whatever you think should or should not be done for whatever issues that pop up, that's the reality we're dealing with.

Lol, same in India. We had our official broadcaster streaming it both online and in tv. And BWF also streaming in YouTube. Never happened before.

Nope, I guess. Is there heater in the stadium??

Yup, Axelsen slipped at very beginning stage of yesterday's semifinal match, fortunately there's no serious injury that disrupting the Dane who totally took command at opening game. More interesting atmosphere in second game where the vast experienced Liew Daren exploits his expertise in netplay, which is very effective to outmaneuver his tall rival but too bad the Malaysians lost momentum when leading big margin, 11-5, 17-12 then Axelsen slowly catched up, last point displayed superb retrieving skill of netshot by former World Champion that surprised Liew at the end. The defending champion will take on Thailand wonder kid, three-time World Junior Champion who's just graduated from junior stage, 18 years old Kunlavut Vitidsarn reaches big step of his career to enter first final in BWF World Tour. The Thai teenager eliminates Ajay Jayaram, 22-20 / 21-11, second Indian opponent after more difficult Sameer Verma in quarterfinal.

Carolina Marin is unstoppable to clinch WS title at home soil, the left-hander Supanida Katethong couldn't repeat her VIE Open victory over the Olympic Champion who's more alert this time how to handle fast attacking young rival. Third Thailand hurdle awaits Marin in finale, familiar face Pornpawee Chochuwong who often troubling the Spaniard in previous tournaments.

In doubles category, KOR new partnerships Kim SR/Kim HN definitely steal the lime light here, only took part three tournaments prior to Spain Masters, they cruise into last round, thanks to their individual capability who beat more fancied Goh SH/Shevon Lai in quarters and tackle 2019 Swiss Open winner Bay Smidt/Soby in last four. The Koreans will meet rising stars French duo Gicquel/Delrue, semifinalist of recent INA Masters to eye XD crown.

Lee Y/Wang CL fulfiill their top billing, oppose Denmark number one pair Astrup/Rasmussen who stun Aaron Chia/Soh WY, the Malaysians played below par performance and little bit slow pace, commit many unnecessary elementary mistakes. A bright chance for the rejuvenated Polii/Rahayu to earn valuable ranking point in the absence of their major rivals, JPN-CHN-KOR. The Indonesians were strecthed into three games before finding fine tune to dispose Birch/Smith. An intriguing clash between the top-seed versus powerful Stoeva sisters today.

It is just you. His defensive skills and shot quality are world class. He is however lacking in power from the back court unfortunately...

He was the front-court player when he played with Kim Gi Jung, if I remember correctly. It feels like ages ago though.

Congrats to Chochuwong, beating Marin at her home soil :) Hope she and Phitayaporn Chaiwan keep improving and replace the useless Busanan
