So the PBL started today, January 20, in India. Does anybody have a live stream for people outside of India to watch it? It seems like Hotstar is the only way to watch it but they don't even give you the option to open an account, depending on your geographical region. If anybody has an alternative stream to watch the PBL that isn't Hotstar, please let me know. Thanks!
use indian server in vpn for hotstar you can watch live only for 5min without an account but you can watch highlights .if you want to watch for another 5min clear cookies and watch
Link for all full matches of the tie: Check out Replay: Chennai vs Hyderabad on Hotstar! https://www.hotstar.com/1440006250 In the above link, go to 2:39:00 for Lakshya vs Priyanshu match. Check out Highlights: Sindhu Sinks Gopichand on Hotstar! https://www.hotstar.com/1260018617 Download hotstar app and open it with India proxy.
Any website covering the PBL with details of the teams and their compositions, tournament schedule and the results? Would greatly appreciate it.
You'll get results , team players , etc. They have official Twitter, insta and fb handles too. http://www.pbl-india.com/fixtures
Thanks everybody for your suggestions. The VPN provider I am using doesn't have an India server to choose from. But even if I did find an Indian VPN server to choose from, the problem of clearing cookies every 5 minutes is very annoying so I will give up on PBL this year. I guess I will forgo PBL this year so I hope the rest of you can enjoy it! It's a great tournament, but it's unfortunate that Hotstar makes it so difficult for people outside of India to watch it because it's not only a great way to showcase the Indian national players, but also a great way to show the world how a first class sporting event is organized and produced. It was PBL that introduced me to the lesser known Indian national players (like Satwik from 3 years ago but now Satwik is getting more and more known with his jump in world ranking) so it's a really good way for foreign badminton fans to learn about the India national team players. If somebody finds a non Hotstar link that works with smoothly and doesn't require clearing cookies every 5 minutes, please let the rest of us know. Until then, for the people in India, enjoy PBL this year!
Hmm, I understand watching live matches has its own thrill but if you still want to watch matches, I'll keep giving full time links next day. Try installing turbo VPN app in your mobile, you'll get free India, proxy, Germany proxies. Go with Indian one.
Nah, that's okay. No need to give the full time links for me (maybe others may want it). I prefer to watch it live. Thanks anyways.

Ivanov gives PBL the thumbs up https://www.thehindu.com/sport/other-sports/ivanov-gives-pbl-the-thumbs-up/article30626520.ece/amp/ According to Ivanov playing in PBL has definitely helped in preparing for the Badminton World Federation tournaments. “Here, in three weeks, we have good practice with top players every day. In Russia it is not possible. A best I can only play with players ranked in the top-80 in the world, whereas the cream of badminton is here [PBL],” he said. “I’ve had practice sessions with Sindhu, Sourabh [Verma], Lee [Dong Yae], Mathias Boe, Chirag Shetty,” said Ivanov, who is playing for Hyderabad Hunters in PBL-5. Ivanov shot into prominence after winning the 2016 All England Open men’s title along with Ivan Suzonov, but that has surprisingly not had a great impact on his career, he said. “It was really a good result for us. But my life has not changed because badminton is not popular in Russia, only winter sports is. But the Russian Government is supporting us by taking care of travel and stay during BWF tournaments.”
What an experience for Gayathri Gopichand ! . She played P. V.Sindhu in her debut match and now played Tai tzu ying and took a game from her. Sure, it will really help this 16 year old girl , the daughter of Pullela Gopichand.
Does every team need to compulsorily field a trump match in PBL? If so, Mumbai rackets will end up having negative points on the points table Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
