    Antonsen has the way to reach the Final in Istora. This is the 3rd time he reaches Final, must be his favourite spot. imo, he is favourite to medal in Tokyo.

    He has definitely gotten the profile! He is not a favourite, not even his country favourite, but he has the potential to give it all for one tournament. I wouldn't be surprised if he medals at Tokyo 2020.

    and when was the last time Denmark WD beat JPN WD i think it never happens since JuhlPed retires, let alone beating 2 JPN pair in the same tournament..

    I think Fukushima is down after Momota
    got injured..

    All the best to the finalists.

    Personally rooting for Wang/Huang, minions, and Ginting to win today.

    FINAL (01.00pm) => https://www.tournamentsoftware.com/...FEF920-EE97-42C3-B885-2CF80505A03C&d=20200119

    French young sensations Gicquel/Delrue displaying stiff resistence and pushing one of mixed doubles dominant forces Wang/Huang into the limit despite the tie was completed by two straight games, 19-21 / 15-21. Apparently, the unseeded pair can balance the Chinese fast furious attack with smart interception and unpredictable placement. Looking forward to this promising duo development in next tournaments to make mixed doubles category more interesting to follow. A repeat all Chinese finals for numerous times in BWF top tier tournaments, the steady Zheng/Huang are on course to defend their title here.

    Carolina Marin and Ratchanok Intanon set up final duel, both of them are too tough for He Bingjiao and Wang Zhiyi respectively as these Chinese players lost in similar pattern at semifinal, succumbed meekly in opening game then delivering decent fighting in following game. The lack of accuracy that contributing free points to her rival, that’s He BJ main problem while Wang ZY is still less of competing experience to face caliber player. Intanon had analysed her defeat and avoiding to play long rallies, implementing more aggressive style to overcome the agile and resilient Wang.

    An ideal final of world's top two ranked, 13th meeting between home men's doubles hotshots, a tough challenge for the veterans Ahsan/Setiawan to reverse their fortune against Gideon/Sukamuljo since their last victory four years ago MAS Open 2016, the beginning of the Minions career. The defending champions edged out Malaysian obstacles yesterday, Aaron Chia/Soh WY, 21-19 / 21-19, there's a slightly declining form by the Minions as all rivals catching up to close the gap, normal circumstances that they always be target man to beat in every tournament.

    A giant leap for Fruergaard/Thygesen, a beyond expectation performance that Danish combinations beat two Japanese leading pairs Fukushima/Hirota and Matsutomo/Takahashi en route to secure maiden final in Super 500 event. The nothing to lose duo practically relying on their attack to bombard the Japanese strong defense, they prevail in close contest 22-20 / 22-20. Local hopefuls await them in last round, the rejuvenated Polii/Rahayu who rectify slump performance started from this new season, backed up by roaring home crowd the Indonesians vanquish last year beaten finalists Kim SY/Kong HY, 21-19 / 22-15.

    One step closer for former champion Anthony Ginting to reclaim his crown at home soil, the high speed Ginting tackles Viktor Axelsen, only opening game the Dane could troubled the Indonesian but falters at next game, can’t control the drift and emotion instead of trapped with his opponent game plan, tight net shot, deep forehand corner and followed by lethal attacking smash. But another Dane prevails, title holder Anders Antonsen shows his class to outwit the world #23 Lee Cheuk Yiu. The explosive Hong Kong player who played superbly to stun Shu YQ, Chou TC previously finds the deadlock on Antonsen solid defense, excellent placement and superb net play that frustrating Lee in entire match, 21-9 / 21-14.

    Terrible? I guess that is what you get for getting it too easy. making all CHN XD Final is at least 2 levels easier than all INA MD Final. and the fact that they are of same generation makes one of them a terrible loser.

    Minions and Daddies have flirted with near losses. Its actually very difficult path to make it same country final in MD.

    Intanon must be the most gracious WS player.

    her deception maybe 1 level below TTY, but the way she moves around the court , runs , the racket swing (TTy is too muscular) , etc.

    RI is so on fire. it's like putting up a performance right now, she is so in dominant control with some of the rallies, not sure if CM wants to be there to be butchered.

    Would like to see Marin roars back the next 2 games - usually she does roar with her strong mentality..but she just recovers..

    Can marin past the shuttle nicely for once ? even RI need to point that out to the umpire. how can an olympic champion and 3 times WC still acting like that, unbelievable.
