    Can’t smash, can’t defend, can’t win a service situation...useless.

Is this all it takes to be on the MAS national team nowadays? No wonder they’re so far adrift since LCW walked off into the sunset...

Well. She is free to do whatever she wants My point is if it was really because of injury, then she should not even have played that match in the first place. But she played because she felt she had a chance to win despite her injury.

And I asked a valid question. If it was 11 6 in her favour, would she have retired?

The answer is obvious . Maybe you should answer my question first.

even Dechapol and Sapsiree won last night, it won't make any different as ZSW HYQ still can win easily...

“If it was really because of injury”?? Are you seriously doubting the reason she retired? You think she was just late for her best friend’s wedding or something?

Who knows what she would have done if it was 11-6? And what does it matter? You still seem to be implying that she should have played to the end regardless...which is ludicrous.

Your post makes absolutely no sense...

The decision to retire belongs to a player and is theirs alone. They are the ones who know the status of their body, and whether they feel it’s worth it to continue.

Aside from match fixing, there’s really nothing for anyone else to say.

I think Macau was doing the best thing to put all SF on court 1 where the one and only hawk eyes are available.

We really don't know for sure. She stated that she is sick. Whether it is true or not, only she knows. It's not my concern to judge whether she spoke the truth or not.

Certain kind of injury tend to be fine in the beginning but get worsen as it drag on.

Yes, she must had felt it is not worth to fight at 6-11 as the inury will feelt even worse because she will have to force herself to move and try harder to catch up. Even if she had continue, it will still going to cause more pain and maybe prolong her injury.

I had been playing with mild injuries when it was not fully recovered, and usually it just get worse or flare up again.

1 thing for sure, retirement is bad for the sports.

If players get paid well, i guess it will rather rare to see withdrawal midway through the match. Dont see that often in Tennis. its like you need to try to get the extra step, that extra mile..and if it doesnt work...

why even need to be like that to begin with..

Yeah she stated she was sick not injured. But she had just recovered from an injury. At the moment, most top WS are struggling with one injury or another. With this hectic schedule, I am not surprised at all.

No misrepresentation, just expressing my personal opinion - "My guess is that, possibly,..." And you too are also just expressing your opinion, VA's psychological issue with Momota is well-known. To each his own.

I think it's more on the hectic schedule. Just look at the end of the year, most players start to lose their form or get injured.

Wang/Huang to the final. I'm not sure I was convinced with some line calls there.
Judging from both pairs form, the CHN would have won anyway, yet still..
