Fajri are more powerful than ahsan/hendra, but they're not as clever. still don't understand why they keep smashing like that, very few dropshot, no variation, just bad.
Not a smart match from Fajri, they cant do basic fundamental of the game. Cant serve properly, cant return serve properly and poor defend. the worst is they keep smashing aimlessly.
They have good chance to be WR4, what they need to do is better KamuraSonoda performance by 2 rounds and they are there. They dont even have points here. Chance goes begging there.
They always attack because they cant defend properly. especially Rian.. why is he doing forehand defence stance, it just looks awkward on him, his racket is just too low. Is he think he is Gideon? lol.
I guess it's a learning experience for fajri, remember minions also lost 3 times in a row to boe/mog back in 2017, and they learn from it. beside, it's pretty unlucky that everytime fajri met boe/mog it has to be in slow hall. I think fajar/rian can beat boe/conrad if they met in denmark last week.
Hmm...who is Brice Leverdez? Just a nobody who once stopped LCW in R1 of the world championships (2017?) and last week sent Anthony Ginting packing in R1 of the Denmark Open, and in June was in the Final of the European Games. Indeed, beating, nay, dismantling him is nothing to shout about. What's gotten into me?
Even though minions lost 3 times to boe back in 2017 they never lost with this kind of scoreline. 21-12 21-16, I mean really ? that's just embarrasing.
ROUND OF 32 - PART II (10.00am) => https://www.tournamentsoftware.com/...DB372B-3688-490E-A8A5-AED6CFBA192C&d=20191023 *MATCH HIGHLIGHTS* - Kento Momota (JPN) v Wang Tzu Wei (TPE) - Chen Long (CHN) v Rasmus Gemke (DEN) - Jan O Jorgensen (DEN) v Jonatan Christie (INA) - Kidambi Srikanth (IND) v Chou Tien Chen (TPE) - Cheung Ngan Yi (HKG) v Saina Nehwal (IND) - Gregoria M.Tunjung (INA) v He Bingjiao (CHN) - Aaron Chia/Soh WY (MAS) v Choi SG/Seo SJ (KOR) - Astrup/Rasmussen (DEN) v Hoki/Kobayashi (JPN) - Ong YS/Teo EY (MAS) v Ahsan/Setiawan (INA) - Baek HN/Jung KE (KOR) v Matsutomo/Takahashi (JPN) - Chang YN/Kim HR (KOR) v Fukushima/Hirota (JPN) - Rankireddy/Ponnappa (IND) v Choi SG/Seo SJ (KOR) - Tang CM/Tse YS (HKG) v Jordan/Oktavianti (INA) Second first round exit in this year for one of INA first-layered men's doubles combination, becoming error-proned, too monotonous and lack of creativity ended Alfian/Ardianto quest in Paris to Danish seasoned campaigners Boe/Conrad, 12-21 / 16-21 in just 39 minutes. Other seeded pairs, Kamura/Sonoda and defending champions Han CK/Zhou HD need three games to vanquish first round hurdles. Strong favourites Gideon/Sukamuljo also Ahsan/Setiawan will start their campaign today. Both Carolina Marin, Ratchanok Intanon facing challenging task to progress into second round, pushed into marathon match to tackle the underdogs Cai Yanyan, Kirsty Gilmour respectively while Pusarla Sindhu eased past Canadian Michelle Li, 21-15 / 21-13. In men's singles, badminton legend Lin Dan finally passes first round after sent packing regularly in last four consecutive tournaments, Lin knocks out home representative Brice Leverdez, 21-12 / 21-9. Also safely through into next phase, Anthony Ginting who's trying to rectify his setback here, outclassed Lee Zii Jia, 21-16 / 21-8. Mixed doubles title holders, Zheng SW/Huang YQ hold their nerves well to deal with Goh SH/Shevon Lai who almost oust the mighty Chinese. The Malaysians duo balanced the number one pair with their solid defense and unleashed counter attacking shots that surprised and shaking Zheng/Huang confidence, unfortunately Goh/Tan were unable to wrap up the match at crucial stages, 19-17 just two points away to create huge upset but they blew away and the momentum had gone in deciding game as the Chinese duo took command.
I can't believe the umpire keep letting boe doing everything he want and didn't even give a yellow card for his delaying tactics, so annoying. everytime fajar/rian won a point he kept asking the umpire for the court to be mopped, or just go to the kit box without asking the umpire, even when he stay on court he wait for so long before ready to receive the serve.
yea somehow very big number of danish players test umpire, and if he/she does not show who is in charge, then they really exploit it to their advantage to the max one of the ways to win, nasty win is still a win
Boe/conrad were lucky they're playing against nice kids, imagine if that was kevin on the other side of the court lol
They sucked, no excuses, but Rian sucked BAAAD. Still showing stage fright & mental fragility at his current age, i don't think he will ever be a legend level of player.
