    Bienvenue!
Most of elite shuttlers will extend their Europe tour to Paris, one of most popular tourist destinations where iconic Eiffel Tower and Museum Louvre are located. High intense atmosphere as Race for Guangzhou will meet finish line imminently in December. Badminton giant China had major blow in Denmark, faltered in three finals and will seeking a redemption this week.

    MISSION IN PARIS
Fresh from defending Denmark Open title, Kento Momota will shift next target in Paris, few of BWF top tier tournaments that missing in his trophy cabinet. Semifinal outing for the Japanese ace last year, lost to eventual champion Chen Long. On paper forecast, the World Champion is slated to face nemesis Anthony Ginting early than expected, quarterfinal round and highly likely Chen Long once again in final four scenario. Bottom half ensemble cast contains former champion Chou Tien Chen, 2017 World Champion Viktor Axelsen, Asian Games Champion Jonatan Christie and current World Championships silver medalist Anders Antonsen.

    HEAVYWEIGHT DRAW
The upper half section of women's singles segment presenting tougher landscape, two former world champions Ratchanok Intanon & Nozomi Okuhara, reigning Olympic Champion Carolina Marin, recent world champion Pusarla V. Sindhu and world number one Tai Tzu Ying gathering together with intertwined plot. The second quadrant will anticipate Okuhara-Marin last sixteen showdown, the winner of this premature clash possibly will meet Ratchanok Intanon. Chen Yufei and Sung Ji Hyun pulled out due to injury last week in Odense, it will reduce competition slightly, title holder Akane Yamaguchi will take on teammate Sayaka Takahashi on first round, the most dangerous darkhorse to watch out is An Se Young, this teen potentially will derail the higher-ranked player journey in State Pierre de Coubertin.

    SIMPLY REMARKABLE
Maybe it will be repeat story for world's top two pairs, they look unbeatable at the moment. The last beaten finalists Gideon/Sukamuljo are the frontrunner to complete unfinished business in Paris, lost to Han/Zhou in last year final. Kamura/Sonoda or Alfian/Ardianto will pose credible threat for the Minions en route to final. World Champions Ahsan/Setiawan have more tricky path to cross, having Malaysian hurdle first Ong YS/Teo EY. An intriguing opening match to follow, 2019 All England runner-ups Aaron Chia/Soh WY will up against rising Korean duo Choi SG/Seo SJ.

    KOREAN THREAT
Korea women's doubles really troubling Japan top ranked pairs lately, four pairs in the fray including newly crowned DEN Open champion Baek HN/Jung KE who facing the Olympic Champions Matsutomo/Takahashi directly at very early round. One more revamped pair Chang YN/Kim HR also have Japanese high profile combination Fukushima/Hirota on Wednesday. Top-seed and defending champion Matsumoto/Nagahara have relatively comfortable draw in preliminary rounds.

    SLOWING DOWN
China supremacy in mixed doubles department had been shaken in last couple BWF tour, more pairs succeeded to tackle them, the latest salvo is Jordan/Oktavianti. Defending champions Zheng SW/Huang YQ tasted defeat in two consecutive tournaments, KOR and DEN Open. They should redefine better strategy this time as all opponents had observed their fast paced style comprehensively. Closest rival, Puavaranukroh/Taerattanachai are back to action again after skipped Odense meet due to fatal administration error. World number two miss this tournament as they participate in the ongoing World Military Games.

Brice is the man of first round. He may collect lin to his list

Usually top half play fisrt day, bottom is second day but this time is a mess. If marin and no both won, marin would have 1 more day to rest before they play round 2

They may act like one. But, they have their own couple. Can't resist fantasizing them together, though.

They're struggling against anyone these days. Not surprising. I bet they will lose to another European pair in the coming round...
