They won all their matches in 2 straight games this week.

Wow. No wonder they do well in arena like this and MalaysiaOpen(AE)

Denmark open has similar arena like this one in korea right ? they should do well in there too. honestly i'm impressed with the way fajar controlled his shots, rarely it goes out.

Ardianto 1 of the few right handed players who has this deception when he smash.

Usually its left handed player , its very difficult to read the way he wants to smash/hit .. FHF, HBJ, Momota.

Of course for right hand player its TTY but you gotta have such a high skill set for RH player to do deceptions..

Yeah he's good, but still not as deceptive as ahsan though. but I would say his smashes are more deadly than ahsan's, look at how many points he scored against kamura/sonoda today :D

When i watch it , the last few points , the Japanese pair dont know where the shuttle will be smashed. His smashing skill or kill is already better than Gideon imo if his defence isnt yet.

Honestly when it gets tensed last 3-5 points, it will be really difficult to defend. Dont think Rian has good defend either but alfian playing no lob is also so good. Hard to have a chance to smash against them.

and I guess its tough playing in Korea where there are lots of INA fans/employees ( same as in HK when they play Minions), its tough luck.

Yeah some of his smashes today were just insane. I think rian has pretty good defense, just not that consistent...his flat defense in my opinion are slightly better than gideon. agree fajar's "no lob" is so good, it's hard to make him lift to you because he just gonna keep playing these angle shots and try to keep it flat all the time if he can, I'd say it's actually harder to get the initiative against fajri than against minions.

They lost against an unknown JPN pair. However, I think that this loss is attributed to their lack of preparation. They just won Korea Open and have to flew back to Indonesia for YIM. They barely have any time left. Not to mention that this is their third consecutive tournaments.

Amazing shot quality from fajar/rian, even more clear with this angle.

    Beautiful shot at 4:55..

Idk why he dyes his hair like that lol

Anyway they look pretty emotional yesterday after the win, understandably so since they almost choke from 17-10 lead in the third game.

Ahsan/fajar looks good against ong/teo in BATC final, if fajar/rian still hasn't shown any consistency maybe they should try ahsan/fajar and hendra/rian after the olympics

Boe rate fajar as the third best front court player only behind kevin and hendra, as I always thought myself. just need rian to be more consistent so they can finally win more titles.

The last 4/5 tournaments , i have seen Rian performing better than Fajar. If Rian can continue having that serious pacing smash like KoreaOpen last year, they are almost unbeatable. Well, they can beat Minions , Li/Liu & Kamson in 1 tournament , not many pair can do that even if one has the best tournament of their lifetime. Just hope he can serve cleaner.

Indeed, Ardianto is more developing in front net skill as well as his defensive shots
    Alfian's placing deadly beautiful.
What a progress from the duo.
