Yeah thats true though...but we have to rememebr her injury was a very serious one and She is still trying to come back and her trials are actually going good..Im sure with improvment in training she can beat anyone at any gien day. I only wish I could see Wang Yihan still play she was a tigress the Olympic Semi Final is the game of hers I watch still today so pleasing to eyes. Also the Asian championships where she played against Okuhara wa just a masterclass of the World Champ. Im glad I get to see Lxr play still to this day.
Even if she couldnt...her career is filled with greatness..she is already in the legend club with 2 WC Silver and the biggest OG Gold...now she can just please her fans like me with her presnce and try ti add more glory to her already diamond like career.
Huang Yuxiang is capable of this kind of upsets once in a blue moon. Remember how he beat Momota at the INA Open in July.
Marin has had the same injury. But seeing Marin come storming back should provide LXR some inspiration to be less conservative and push herself a little harder. I am sure LXR has a little bit of apprehension of re-injury. Marin I am sure will cast any apprehension aside for a second Olympic gold to establish herself as the greatest women's player. It's very interesting to see how Marin is going to progress through this tournament. Is her tactic going to be for a win or will she be satisfied with a quarter or semifinal?
losing 10 times to Kevin is bad enough. in which 9 he ended up winning the titles while 1 is a team event.
If I'm not wrong, Li Xueri's injury is more serious, she had to be sent to Germany for treatment, surgery, and her recovery and rehabilitation process, including getting back into shape, took her nearly one and a half year; the longer the injury layoff, the harder to make a successful comeback. And until today, she is still wearing the knee brace, more of a psychological handicap than anything. I remember what Xia Xuanze said about her running ability being her greatest drawback, basically the lack of stamina/endurance affecting her court coverage, and until she overcomes this physical (as well as psychological) disadvantage, I don't see her regaining her former prowess.
