I'm still far from good, everyone can writing with different style. You're so good to post stats in this forum which is very useful information for us
Yup. A maximum amount of time spent on first aid is also a possible solution. Maybe BWF can study table tennis to see if they can figure out a rule that will cut down on the calls to doctors during the match.
I wish I could... That statement emerged right after China reclaimed Sudirman Cup 2019 successfully at home soil to beat favourite Japan 3-0, little bit over confident that becomes boomerang here. I know he has big ambition to emulate famous Li Yong Bo fantastic achievement but he forgot 2012 China squad contained A list ingredients in all categories but looking at China current squad, quite vurnerable and inconsistent. Agree, because sport isn't Math. But should be realistic too.
For WS, I give Sindhu a slight edge this time - she is in fine form, has the height and reach and attacking game to trouble a short player like Nozomi who has to run all over the court to retrieve everything and that requires remarkable stamina and endurance. But the thing going for Nozomi is she is tenacious in defence, capable of attacking better than before, is generally a stable player, very experienced and determined, and she is playing a familiar opponent, knows what to expect and prepare for. However, if Sindhu's confidence takes a hit due to nerves on the big occasion at the final hurdle, mistakes will creep in and once the floodgate is opened, her game unravels and that's it for Sindhu, a miss is as good as a mile, one more silver in the cabinet. I feel the first game should give us a clear picture of their respective mentality, in the final title bout, it's not just all about skills as mental strength also plays a part that can tilt the balance in favour of one or the other, esp between two equally matched contestants, the more so when the two combatants are on top of their game. Frankly, I don't want to see a repeat of their 2017 WC clash, reduced to a war of attrition with two exhausted finalists battling it out to see whose legs give way first even though it is also a test of their wills and fighting spirits. In other words, I much prefer to see a quality match of the highest order of magnitude as reminiscent of what the many Lin - Lee epic battles are known for (even the three LCW vs Chen Long matchups at the major championships are each Clash of The Titans).
It's been since 2015, we've been in pursuit of Gold Medal in WS. 2015 WC- Saina lost to Marin. 2016 OG- PVS lost to Marin. 2017 WC- PVS lost to Okuhara 2018 WC- PVS lost to Marin. 2019 WC- Will India be 5th time lucky ?

This has already been posted on the Momota page, but I will re-post it here, just in case: For anyone in Japan, MAINSTREAM television is going to broadcast Momota's match live! I can hardly believe it!! Live coverage starts at 9:00 pm on the Asahi Channel. Badminton is making progress... WOW!
Anyone has live streaming link. Seems like the olympic channel provided isnt working for Final dunno why
Zhang Jun analysing how to go about countering the japanese pair. someone should send this link to the indonesian coaches he look calmed, probably the twin towers offerin
From a 'business perspective', Momota is probably the only player able to draw enough viewers. Albeit somewhat ironic, he's really been able to raise the popularity of the sport in Japan in the last couple of years.
