Zhang Yiman holding three matchpoints in G3, blew it with simple mistakes losing 5 points straight to THA WS Chaiwan. ZYM's future looking bleak.
Loh Kean Yew's shotmaking is crisp and neat, decisive and on the mark, pretty good. One game to the good, 21-11, to LKY
Loh Kean Yew moves very well, nice footwork, fast and effortless. He did a good job beating Dey in two straight sets, 21-16 in G2. No mean feat.
Caught An Se Young watching on the sidelines sitting beside the SG coach of Yeo Jia Min, if I'm not mistaken.
During the rally, Sourabh suddenly ran off to the courtside to change his racquet, presumably a broken string. Never seen this happening in singles before. Unfortunately, he didn't win the rally despite getting the shot back.
Saw it. It would have been nice had he won the rally. But still wonderful effort to change the racket and coming back to get the shot back.
Too close to call, well-fought, too bad there has to be a winner, and it's Loh Kean Yew to the finishing line by a whisker, 25-23, in the decider to set up a final with Sourabh Verma.
Nice to see two MAS MS player in the finals of Hellas Open International Series. Lim Chong King is a fast-attacking player akin to LCW versus Aidil Sholeh is more a balanced-stroke. Too bad Ng Tze Yong lost to Arnaud Merkle in QF. This trio is really promising and hopefully they will do well in the future.
