A tired-looking shot by Zhao Junpeng to give Tommy 7 matchpoints.

In my opinion Ren Pengbo's problem is that he can't score points. If you look at top-10 MS players they all have decent attack. There are players with weak attack like Tommy Sugiarto and Sameer Verma who are hovering around top-10 but can't get any higher. Talking about Chinese youngsters Zhao Junpeng has decent attack but is very inconsistent as we saw today. I highly appreciate Lu Guang Zu who has everything to be in top-10.

Interesting that Zhao Jun Peng doesn't play the usual Chinese game. He smashes very frequently. I think the coaches have decided to let him play his chosen style. Best of luck and cut down those silly errors. Ren Pengbo is certainly the better of the 3 MS. I am afraid China still has a problem in this category.
So all the junior MS are out after the first round.
A great disappointment in the Chen Yufei/An See Young match. I expected a tough match. Nerves for ASY? Maybe injured? CYF didn't play all that well too. The game was a bit one sided. He Bing Jiao stayed the course and held herself well in the first set and overcame Li Xuerei over two games.
