Anus (this is how you pronounce Anders in Danish... :) ) became the champion of european games, without Axelsen it was more or less some international challenge level tournament in at least in MS category

England won two badminton golds through MD and XD while arch-rival Denmark rules singles category. Netherlands pair Piek/Seinen shine in women's doubles event. Ellis/Langridge did well in multi-sport event, after Rio 2016 bronze medal, they bagged 2018 Commonwealth Games gold medal and topped EG podium in Minsk couple of days ago.

Without Viktor Axelsen, second-ranked Danish star Anders Antonsen meets the expectation to beat Brice Leverdez, the latter ran out of steam in deciding game, 21- 19 / 14-21 / 21-10. Mia Blichfeldt affirms her status as Denmark number one, eliminates Kirsty Gilmour straight-forwardly, 21-16 / 21-17 who tackled defending champion Line Kjaersfeldt in semifinal.

Just found Canada open qualification matches on YouTube:

Looks like there is still chance even for me to play at top level tournaments :p I would beat this Mathew Fogarty in straight games.
Honestly, it is shocking that some random 62-year old guy is play BWF World Tour Events. Can anyone really participate those?

The higher-ranked and established names Lee Dong Keun and Prannoy sent packing early. The top-seed Lee lost surprisingly to the inexperienced rookie WR #712 TPE Yu Sheng Po, 20-22 / 14-21 while Japan potential player Koki Watanabe stuns third seed Indian in two straight-games, 21-16 / 21-10. Prannoy looks unfit, mishitted the shuttlecock frequently into the net, couldn't balance Watanabe speed and agility. China dominates last sixteen round with six representatives in the draw, one quarters spot has been secured in this category.

Home darling Michelle Li as predicted has trouble to pass Korean low-ranked Sim Yu Jin in three games, experience brought the Canadian to overcome her opponent threat in third game. An interesting second round clash will pit sensational An Se Young against Japanese latest talent Hirari Mizui who beat the Korean in Vietnam IC prior to NZL Open victory and Sudirman Cup debut.

    That’s a brutal g3 loss for Michelle Li...even worse than Okuhara’s demolition.

    What's the score?

Edit : NVM. The score is the same, 21-3. But, yeah, it's worse than Minions in Final BAC and NO in Final AO, as the opponent is ranked way lower and not on the same league as ML.

Boe/Conrad won over Lee/Wang. This new pair seem to be doing pretty well.
Are they still with the national team by the way?

I don't think so. Both of them already quit the national team before this pair is formed.
