The more positive player win it, so happy for inthanon. an is talented ofcourse but her playing style is pretty boring to me, she just wait for the opponent to make a mistake.

Agree with you to some extent. She uses her youthful energy and stamina to frustrate opponents into making impatient decisions that lead to mistakes. At least that was the case in the second game. Intanon was the overall better player with shot variations and creativity.

Blichfeldt is going to be in top-10 soon. Her current level of play is already better than some of the top-10 players.
It was too much for Korean teenager stamina to beat world number 1 and Intanon on consecutive days. Not sure which one is the favourite next time they meet.

That is a very hasty conclusion based on one match. When she won New Zealand open she was hitting jump smashes and winners.
Today was her 8th match in 23 days, that's a lot for 17 year old. If Korean team had known she has to play in Sudirman cup she would have skipped New Zealand tournament. So clearly her today's performance was affected by fatigue.

Great performance by inthanon. I don't think she'll beat chen yufei on saturday though, her stamina is still an issue.

You have a point there. Indeed, for a 17-year-old to perform like she did and has such good stamina despite accumulated fatigue taking a fair bit of its toll is already remarkable.

This match is probably one too many for An Se Young, Intanon Ratchanok displayed superior technique coupled with maturity and experience. Still, somehow I 've a feeling should it goes to three sets, IR's stamina may let her down; hard to say as ASY is also slowing down a bit, not attacking as much as we've seen her done so in all her previous matches, including those in the NZ Open.

Defeat aside, ASY's potential is huge.

    Yea
But there is no shame in her loss at the same time.

    Not like 21-3
    *ahem*

In a way, Intanon saved some pride for the top 8 player after An Se Young's shock defeat of Tai Tzu Ying.
