Chance for India to steal point from China, MD and possibly WS.

Still, IND needs to win the tie to progress to QF. It's extremely hard to do so, given that IND WD is basically fodder to CHN WD.

There simply is no one of remotely similar quality in any of the top nations in that age group. Chaiwan from Thailand was never special beyond training much more than her peers, the Chinese youngsters are primarily physical, an advantage that will mostly disappear later on, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia and Denmark don't have anyone up their sleeve, as far as I can tell, and it remains to be seen if that Indian kid can become good. I wasn't nearly as impressed with her as with AYS when I watched her play, though.

Korea made AYS part of the NT at 15, didn't even send her to the WJC's anymore, she won (or nearly won, don't remember, really) against Sayaka Sato and Aya Ohori at last year's Japan-Korea friendly, and her repertoire (smash quality, disguises, physical attributes, shot selection) would leave anyone impressed who watches her.
All in all, it wasn't a particularly daring assessment on my part, to be honest. ;)

As a notorious moaner ( :D ), I honestly did not like the way she simply brushed past TTY (and others before her) after the match though. That's something I'd expect from a European teenager of Generation Instagram, not so much from a person who comes from a society where respect for elders is firmly entrenched. If you're 17 and can't muster an ounce of respect for the best player in the world...well. Maybe that will get better in the future.

I know, but lose with respectable scoreline, 2-3 or 1-4.

This is what everybody said. "Too soon to say" phrase. I didn't have yamaguchi in my mind at all. She is not a trend setter. Tai tzu ying is. If she is able to beat Tai, then it is extremely difficult for Akane.
I had Tai, sindhu and Nozomi in my mind

My bad. Typing from mobile phone while @ work is very tedious.
When I said An se young is very talented, then people said she should prove it by beating top 8 players. But when she said, I can't accept it, she has to prove it by beating another top 8 player.
    Lol.
    Crazy people.

Japan is not taking any chances today!! ... Although Okuhara may have been a better bet for the WS.
