Also congrats to Wang/Huang, they made a history today, disposing Zheng/Huang!
Nice to see more competition between the two of them.
Zheng/Huang can only come back from this defeat and try to match up again in the future!

Most of the time, KM wasn't able to seize the initiative for the attack as he could the last few days, thanks to SYQ's proactive play today

OMG!!!!.... i am speechless, i made KM slight favourite coming into the final owing to his 2 set demolition to all that came ahead compared to SYQ 3 setters, he should be fresher of the two but seemed out of sorts today.

    Well done SYQ. :D

Momota still looks confused. Oh well, it had been a great year for him. Today is not his day.
No WR#1 nor top seeds are winning the title.
Well Taka/Matsu is the top seed though not WR#1

That's what surprised me,he also showed signs of that in the group matches, persistence and willpower, that is.

What reason I should blame ? All Japan Champions (individuals and clubs) right before WTF a few days

Momota really don't have enough stamina to smash and follow this match.

For sure, no WR1 will win this tournament . Life is fair , if you work hard for it. A little fairer i guess.

I think SYQ was better than Momota today. AJC shouldn't be blamed as momota quite convincingly destroyed everyone in group stage. It has been a wonderful year for momota but today was not his day.

Hopefully this would put to rest the assertion one made that he was lucky to win yesterday - as if his win was entirely due to someone else's bad luck.

Momota looks great until the semifinal, in fact I think it's shu yuqi who should be more tired.

I'm somewhat stunned by Shu Yuqi, I thought Momota would come back stronger in G2, and, perhaps, we'd see SYQ losing his confidence (as I'd expect) and start to unravel. At the group stage he was under less pressure and he showed the right mindset but, I wasn't that sure he could do the same in the final , much less against the mentally tough Momota.

What a resounding victory by Shi Yuqi, the day he starts really believing in himself will be the beginning of his ascent to the summit.
