What to do, boring or not, Chen Long is a classic demonstration of what works, aesthetics aside or is secondary.

Now I can imagine detractors of Chen Long are stunned into silence, what they have just witnessed hasn't fully sunk in yet.

I can only add, write off Chen Long at your own peril, as galaxyduo just said, he is still without doubt one of the top contenders for another WC and OG major accolades.

The Dragon is simply the nickname I gave Chen Long when he is/was on top of his game ,nothing more than that

You should know that "only Ginting can beat him" is what AG's fans said that. And as a fan of momota, I hate that thing because indo's fans spam "only Ginting can beat him" in any video clip of momota to show the would know: indo is the best

True, Chen Long at Rio'16 reached the pinnacle the way he disposed of all his rivals in masterful fashion. Today's Chen Long is nowhere near there yet. But good to see him return to form and possibly go further than we expect from him hereon.

No way. Go to Momota's thread. There are 100 pages talking about that. They are not indonesian fans. Definitely.

Indeed, it was surprisingly easy for him today. Second game was easier than his practise sessions probably. Today's result clearly proves Chen Long is the best badminton player ever, how else could he beat world number #1, world champion, unbeatable super-human Kento Momota 21-8. Or maybe Momota has stagnated since yesterday? Or both. /s

Everyone can compare today's match and their previous encounters this year and make their own conclusions why the result was different today.

But that was not the talking point in the discussions in many many pages of this forum about Kento Momota by his fans. They projected him as if he was a demi god and criticizing every other player's achievements in the run. The scores of this match against Chen Long says it all. Chen Long really made my day. He humbled him and his fans. Hope to see more players to do so. So that, they will learn from this .

I read all comments on youtube and I see that thing. I hate that, momota is good but he is not a superman. He will lose more and more in future, we all know that: no one is unbeatable. Before the match with chen long, I see momota is overload in the match with kidambi and I guess it's not an easy match today. Indeed, he lost. Anyway, if momota won chen long today, I think that he also lose to shi yuqi in final. As I said, momota looks overload.

Well, Chen Yufei has taken a set of TTY before several times but always came out short in the end. Let's see how it goes this time. No matter what, CYF has to have some self-confidence as Luo Yigang tried to impress upon her in their previous encounter last week, or she'll be psychologically defeated again despite being one game to the good

Overloaded is the excuse everybody don't want to hear. There are many players who won consecutive superseries . Momota fans made fun of them by saying that they did it with the help of easier draw and etc etc. When their idol lost without winning a single consecutive titles , they blame it on fatigue and overload. Enough said. Done.

It's the same with all player against TTY. She loses games occasionally but raises her game to win comfortably whenever needed.
