Young? Female player is 26 years, almost veteran compared to opponents. Based on this forum female player is a veteran at 28 so she only has 2 years to compete at highest level  But Thai pair are playing well nevertheless.

They did at the KOR Open, a three-setter won by Gao Fangjie, on no livestream court, sadly.

Not young but in XD you can certainly compete till 30s like Natsir&Pedersen since its slower paced.

Desperately want to see her(LXR) back, it is perhaps "too late" but even if she pull off some memorable matches (if not tourney) we(her fans) will have something to cherish.

How come Zheng Sei Wei not playing MD? What about pairing with ZN?

I think that's partially a reflection of the earning power of the player.

If the player can earn substantially more than what they can do by retiring, and still remain fairly injury free, then we can see them going past 30years old quite easily.

After that, for ladies, some other lifestyle choices may outweigh financial incentives

So, of all the pairs, only Ahmad/Natsir could give a real fight and threat to Zheng/Huang if they really meant it.

Why can't others pick up one or two things from what they are doing right against the WC?

Not gonna happen. ZN didn't play MD either until they had won OG Gold first.

If it is that easy, everyone can become No.1. Sometimes, we just have to admire the extraordinary.

No it is not easy. But they have to try something right?

It's just like watching any MS players (except a few) playing against Momota.

Actually there appears to be no significant difference in stamina, just strength (and strength endurance as a result). The main difference, imop, is somewhere else - a mix of biological and cultural influences. Women mature more quickly, as evidenced by the various 16-18yo prodigies making an impact throughout the years, but that also means they strain themselves more earlier on, potentially reducing their career's lifespan. Culturally, any who consider having a family will have to make very different considerations than the men, especially if they have a more traditional background compared to some of the western female athletes who frequently continue competing after having a first child.

The problem is WS has become so competitive that any player in their late 20s, let alone on the wrong side of 30, finds it hard to gain a foothold in the top 10 and , much less, win a tournament at any level. Generally, the singles discipline is for the relatively young adults, say, 26 and under. Not worthwhile for the veterans, the more so if their MA is not sufficiently funded, especially.

Disagree. Few years back ago some pairs could beat each other. Why not for this era? Really don't make it too dominant for one pair. It's not entertaining. Someone should twisting their brain to break Zheng/huang dominating
