Actually 2/3 shot rallies are better than 100 shots WD rally who just chip here and there imo. Anyway its very difficult in MD to kill in 3 shots unless its service error or netcords, average MD rally is 6 shots i believe.

We just need tianqing/zhaoyunlei or baoyixin/wang xiaoli back or a certain young natsir.

Competitively MD already has lots of upsets, we dont need lyd to be back.

I don't think long rallies like Dubai or Nanjing would happen a lot here. Odense is not that slow.

No, because I only had time to watch the WD highlights  Personally I have no issue watching WD, especially when its live where it's even more entertaining.

As much as I like LYD, he's clearly past his prime so I'd rather he help younger players reach a decent level.

I still remember Ahsan from his pairing with Septano, he was very obviously the weak link in the front court, and you could provoke mistakes quite easily by playing softly to him. He was always good at 'reaction shots', I. E. When you played fast towards him, and he was always a very mobile back court player. I think his aptitude for the slower game only developed well into his partnership with Setiawan, he wasn't initially good at it (lost them that All England match vs Liu/Qiu single-handedly for example).

Well I guess everyone has different preferences. :)

I don't know how LYD could help with the younger players, honestly. The level of talents between the former (especially him) and the current players are just not the same.

Zang Nan was good too if he has a better partner as him.. Lyd without jjs or yys? Don't think so.. Just mention one player at MD didn't sound complete. Missing ten years ago when there's have a lot strong MD. This MD's era just so so.. Kevin/gideon don't have matching rivals i think.

some of the points about indian contingent here to be noted are

    1) Sai Praneeth need to be kicked out of National team
    2) Srikanth need to be trained even harder . He has to beat Kento Momota if he meet him next time, otherwise, put him in National B team
    3) Don't write off Saina at any time.
    4) P V Sindhu need a serious lesson about world tournaments and the importance of it . Otherwise, she thinks only World Championships, Olympics , World tour Finals , Common Wealth games etc are important. She need a whip.
    5) Sameer verma need more moral support . He dissappointed me by losing to Srikanth.
    6) Aswini/Sikki need a reality check. Beat a Japanese pair and get National ticket , this should be the slogan /

Yeah, Zhang Nan needs a better partner indeed. I can't believe how CHN not being able to find him one until now.

There are matching rivals though, it is just minions could always manage to win most of the matches. Not because they are higher skilled or anything, they are just so tricky to deal with especially when they are under pressure.
