    Yah well, young sounding was the key in what I had said but admittedly I also don't know how long she has been broadcasting. Someone has to take over the mantle from Gillian eventually so hopefully either the canuck improves or they get someone else behind the mic .

    QUARTERFINAL (12.00pm, 2 courts) => https://www.tournamentsoftware.com/...F7CA6C-2774-46F8-8AB2-8D43429AE297&d=20180921

    *Match Highlights :
    - Anthony Sinisuka Ginting (INA) v Chen Long (CHN)
    - Kidambi Srikanth (IND) v Kento Momota (JPN)
    - Son Wan Ho (KOR) v Chou Tien Chen (TPE)
    - Ng Ka Long (HKG) v Shi Yuqi (CHN)
    - Chen Yufei (CHN) v Pusarla V. Sindhu (IND)
    - He Bingjiao (CHN) v Akane Yamaguchi (JPN)
    - Astrup/Rasmussen (DEN) v Li JH/Liu YC (CHN)
    - Tanaka/Yonemoto (JPN) v Polii/Rahayu (INA)
    - Zheng SW/Huang YQ (CHN) v Puavaranukroh/Taerattanachai (THA)
    - Christiansen/Pedersen (DEN) v Wang YL/Huang DP (CHN)

    The fast and agile Anthony Ginting takes revenge over Danish ace Viktor Axelsen, last year beaten finalist with exactly same scoreline with last week Japan meet, 21-18 / 21-17. Axelsen had comfort lead, 17-13 in opening game but Ginting turned the tables to seal 21-18 then world number one looked struggling throughout second game due to asthma issue as he mentioned through social media (IG), asked medical treatment and hard to regain his fine touch. With top-seed ousted, Ginting is the only unseeded MS in quarterfinal stage, he will up against defending champion Chen Long, much anticipated match for badminton fans as the Indonesian knocked out the Olympic Champion in Asian Games recently. Other top contender, Kento Momota is favoured to win over below-par Srikanth Kidambi who gets scary escape to beat Suppanyu Avihingsanon. Son Wan Ho will meet the in-form Chou Tien Chen while second seed Shi Yuqi will be challenged by HKG resilient player Ng Ka Long who disposes AG Champion Jonatan Christie convincingly.

    Three home hopefuls, two Japanese starlets, three-time World Champion, 2016 Champion and the underdog Indonesian fill women's singles quarterfinal slot. Carolina Marin and Nozomi Okuhara will find upcoming players, Gao Fangjie and Gregoria Mariska Tunjung respectively. Marin was stretched into three games by Sayaka Takahashi. Barring any big upset, we'll see Marin-Okuhara on final four. On bottom half of draw, He Bingjiao will meet familiar rival Akane Yamaguchi, the latter didn't perform well lately. And China number one Chen Yufei will take on tall Indian darling Pusarla Sindhu who took longer at court to eliminate Thai representative Busanan Ongbamrungphan.

    What a stark difference for INA men's doubles camp. Yesterday, no less than five pairs marched on to last sixteen then one by one fails to clear next hurdle, leaving the most reliable world number one pair Gideon/Sukamuljo and back-ups Pratama/Suwardi survive to last eight. In three CHN-INA affairs, the Indonesian lost to home pairs, started from Ahsan/Setiawan who can't handle fast furious Huang KX/Wang YL, then AG silver medalists Alfian/Ardianto lost narrowly to He JT/Tan Q, later on Angriawan/Hardianto were frustrated by Han CK/Zhou HD in gruelling battle, 21-8 / 23-25 / 22-24 despite leading most of times. China & Indonesia have guaranteed one semifinal berth in this category. More interesting prospect in lower half draw, Li JH/Liu YC versus Astrup/Rasmussen and He/Tan contra Taiwanese combination Chen HL/Wang CL.

    Japanese WD bounce back and dominate quarterfinal, Nanjing World Championships final rematch will happen tomorrow, Fukushima/Hirota against Matsumoto/Nagahara, the winner of this tie will meet possibly last year winner Chen QC/Jia YF who're favoured to beat Stoeva sisters. The opposite draw will pay attention to Polii/Rahayu versus Tanaka/Yonemoto as the Olympic Champion Matsutomo/Takahashi are the clear favourite to defeat surprising Danish duo, Fruergaard/Thygesen who edge out Du Y/Li YH in second round.

    The on-fire Zheng/Huang have real test tomorrow, Puavaranukroh/Taerattanachai who're expected to deliver stiff resistance for Chinese hotshots. Thailand pair had tough times to secure last eight ticket, fought hard to down English married couple The Adcocks in three games. Other notable match is HKG pair Tang CM/Tse YS versus Malaysians Tan KM/Lai PJ, the lefthanders progressed in thrilling final game, 24-22. All England champion Watanabe/Higashino tame the Olympic Champion Ahmad/Natsir, the veteran Indonesians couldn't move fast and balance their opponent speed, it's wise decision for Natsir to end her illustrious career soon.
