From the one match you could see they lack match practice but it also looks like they prepared quite a bit
Hope they can make the final and play bodin / maneepong

Glad to see LYD back on TV court after quite a while! I really missed watching the Korean style of play, and hope that along with KSH & SBC that MD will become interesting to follow again.

Don’t worry too much against Ivanov/Sozonov, but it will be one hell of a test against Kamura/Sonoda who are on top of their game recently... but if they succeed they will give them great confidence for the close future...

Ivanov Sozonov are no slouches either. The smashes from height often trouble LYD due to his defensive stance being so far back.

Also LYD (with YYS) are behind in their head to head. They have lost to Ivanov/Sozonov twice in their 3 encounters. Both losses were from the last two times they played. I watched the AE16 encounter court side and it was clear that the Koreans really struggled with the Russian attack due to their steep smash and deep defence. The Russians like to attack everything right from the return of serve and as LYD has had to adapt his serve to the new height requirement - which I don't think he is 100% comfortable with yet and with KGJ's service errors, it will play into the Russian's hands nicely.

KGJ is also a bit slower than YYS around the court and although he does smash well, it isn't quite as effective as YYS's smash. So unless they have a decent game plan or the Russians falter, the Russians will have this one imo.

Mostly, yes I'm agree about that. But still, once in a week they could turn into "another good form" which made they could win All England for the first time in Russian history.

I would call that Russian pair is moody. When they feel good, they could beat anyone.

For a comparison of their H2H, another KOR MD KSH/SBC have 3-0 leading. So, I don't know why LYD/YYS lost in their last 2 encounters against Ivanov/Sozonov.

Overall, that's would be a good match to wait... Just, next week....

Here's the awaited match. Looks like KGJ had lots of fun! He's definitely more creative than YYS.
