Squash is doing well with the juniors, albeit a little slow. Badminton is just hopeless.

Yeah, always a second fodder in takraw, which is unbelievable!
Something is wrong with the management, somewhere, or just our mentality.

Either mentality or they're just too pampered once winning a big title. We have a world class facities, world class trainers but we can't achieve the results. Look at some of our ex coaches who excel elsewhere, heck PJB manage to bring Japan to greatness but we didn't get much when he was coaching Malaysia.

True that. The problem is always the same, 1st class facilities, 3rd class mentalities.

True, LCW didn't become world beater until later time.
People were criticizing him as Village Champion and so on in the media.

new young MAS pair (Chen Tang Jie/Man Wei Chong) coming up, currently playing Spain Open this week, and if they are able to perform well, they most likely going to meet the KOR independent pair Lee Yong Dae/Kim Gi Jung in SF match...

I don't think they are any match to Lee/Kim. The whole match performance level of Chen/Man was awful I give it a C- performance.
Too much easy mistakes and so on.

    More problems.

“I’ve been helping out as a sparring partner in the national team. What I’m disappointed is the quality of the coaching. One of the coaches does not give 100% focus in training. Sometimes, you find him just sitting there.”

Boon Heong believes there is jealousy and a lack of cooperation among coaches, which needs to be addressed.

“I believe that players’ partnerships are split up if they are not in the good books of the coach. Sometimes, selection is not done on merit,” he said.
