Agreed. You don't need to change a racket to change your style. Ofc.

But this racket is definitely less tiring than the VZF2 and with less powerful smash.

Although he might be gaining on a few other points like defense and net shots.

Lin Dan conserves energy compared to Ginting. Not sure Ginting would know how to do that!

the 99 has different specs than 88S and DZS... its much more head heavy... you should say what are you looking for in the new racket and use DZS as comparison

Thinking about giving the green one another go - the one I tried wasn't strung or gripped to my spec and I'm being told more and more about the feel of this thing.

... Just have to find a used one on here.

Will you be spray painting it to keep the layer thin or with a brush?

Air brushing it. There's way way less control with a brush not to mention the ugly streak marks that will stay there once I gloss coat it.

Trying to figure out what needle size to go with to get a good balance of thickness yet not turn my 3U into a 2U

Will you be using lacquer acrylic or any other type of paint?

Enjoy more sacrilege. I'm not even going to bother with sanding the recessed channel on the upper half of the head. It's way too much work for what I'm planning to do.

However in the last week I've been doing this project on and off, I've come across a couple of interesting facts. The head essentially has 4 layers sprayed onto the base. Grey primer > green layer > black > lacquer/sticker. [IMG]
