Imagine you work your ass off at work every day and one lazy dude gives 120 % one week and is promoted and employee of the year. Sounds fair?

I think he has been there for nearly twenty years now. It must be at least 15.

    Hello everyone!

That was a unstoppable performance by Marin and Momota. Congrats to both of them!
I tell you I've never seen anyone playing like Marin in the WS before. Do you think there'll be a European player who can achieve what Marin has? For me, I don't think so. She reminds me of Serena Williams of tennis.

And Momota. Congratulations for your WC. An incredible achievement since your comeback last year. I can't believe Antonsen is the one that took one set over him. Believe me, if Antonsen keeps improving, he'll become better than Viktor.

Totally agree with Marin. But why do you bring it up in regards to Momota, when you yourself concede they had totally different years? Do you have anyone else in mind who - so far - has been the best player of the year? Mind you, nobody except you in this thread has even used that terminology.

And this moaning about the easy draw (which initially wasn't easy at all. Two top players got injured and AG, JC and SK failed to deliver) has been going on since before the tournament even started. Before this tournament, dude had to play 13/15 absolute top players since his return to the highest tier (leaving out the Thomas Cup), nobody even remotely had that hard a draw.
The result were two titles and one final. Did you see Mr Cia commending him on how he handled that? But now he's already made 10 posts since the end of this game about how easy that draw was.

You're both intelligent men, but you're embarrassing yourself here.

Well I can't say that for Marin but Momota is definately the best player so far this year.

    it is fair
that's just smart (and where talent shown as well)

that's why, to be honest, no one give their best in work every day
they gave their (about) 75% in daily work
and only give their best when it is absolutely necessary
e.g. extremely tight deadlines for big project

I don't understand a lot of people could not accept the fact that KM is the best MS player at the moment. Look at that shot accuracy, smooth footwork, it's enough to defeat most of the high ranked players. He need not attack to win cause opponent just keep on giving away points.

Seeds-wise, i think LCW is the one that could make difference in this WC. Look at how LCW plays in Malaysia Open finals, that's how you can defeat KM.

Somehow I think, apart from Lin Dan and LCW, Chen Long might do better than SYQ against KM though he has lost the last two encounters, he is resurgent at this WC and much more experienced and more familiar with KM's game though he would need to do his homework to re-familiarise with KM's game again.

And with input from Sun Jun who also coached him in the 2015 WC with success.

Of course it's smart, but if you knew all this and were the boss, who'd you promote or hire? ;)
