Are you expecting a Verma ji knock out blow to Lin Dan?

Yeah, noticed that too now. I thought Lin Dan had tougher 1st and 2nd round opponents.

Which is always in favour of SYQ. That's grim for LD.

But does anyone beat Lin Dan four times in a row? Unprecedented in history.

    The most - LEE CHONG WEI (3 TIMES) 2015, 2016, 2016.

Lee CW must bury his dream to win Asian Games gold, it's already ending episode with one silver (Guangzhou 2010) and two bronzes (Doha 2006, Incheon 2014) but World Championships chance keep alive as he can try again next year in Basel.

Just wondering whether BWF would conduct MS re-draw or they include the reserved player to fill the vacant spot.

Or they are moving up the seeded player and place them respectively?
So SYQ to be the 2nd seed to fill LCW spot instead for example? and so on.

Based on BWF Statutes, Section 5.3.9: Eligibility & Processing of Entries for World Championships
So, it's Kantaphon Wangcharoen from Reserved List to replace LCW. There is no re-draw.

The seeded list won't change. The reserved players will play to replace the late withdrawn players.

It will offer limping/unbalanced strength in last quarter of bottom half draw.

Lin Dan was absent for 8 - 9 months in superseries competition include All England (a major for you)
yes, major for you, but not for the majority badminton fans

back to 2013, when he still as top 32 MS, he can defend his AE title, but he choose to absent.

in contrast, when he is not eligible to play for the prestigious World Championships, he received a wild card from BWF, and then bla bla bla..he successfully win world title number 5.

superseries include your All England is just a mickey mouse title for him compare to Olympics and World Championships

also, Taufik missed AE 3 times...so what to say about AE ?
    worst than WC for sure...

so right now, your MS GOAT has changed ?
previously, it is Rudi Hartono., but after some debate, now you already realized that he is not the greatest eh ?
already realized that Rudi always absent from the competiton that matters the most huh ?

so LCW = your MS GOAT right now ?
great effort from anti china fans like you...but you can't deny the fact that LD is the greatest.

    wake up man

who is the one that China rely the most from 2004 to 2012 ?
no other than Lin Dan lol

2004 thomas cup in Jkt, even former AE champion Chen Hong is not selected as MS2 in the final match against Denmark...let alone number one spot against Peter Gade lol

2005 Sudirman Cup and 2006 Thomas Cup...no Chen Hong in the final

    remember Xia Xuanze ?
reigning world champion and world #7 that fail to qualify to Athens ?

    still remember Wang Shixian ?
the one who missed the spot in OLY 2012 and 2016, and also no chance to defend her Asian Games title in Busan 2014 lol

the pressure for china's player surely greater than pressure to player from other countries

do you think as world number one / china's number one going to 10 or even 15 WC / OLY, he is not responsible to win the gold ?

LD is the greatest in history...for sure he has greater pressure than any one else including Lee Chong Wei who is only of the great

the big difference is he can handle the pressure, that's why he can defeat Lee Chong Wei (now your greatest) 3 times in Malaysia, the only one player to make it...

the greatest that only can win many title when LD is not around ???
just check LD and LCW from 2002 - 2013.
    who win more titles ???

so why are you attacking me? lol did i attack your opinions?

and the so called pressure you said is nothing, china has always been good in 5 disciplines but recently crumbled and getting less and less titles. Why? because they are not used to pressure.

While Lee, is the only good player from malaysia.

How do you know badmintonFans think AE is not major? if the players think its Major, you have the right to say no? lol.. I think the full stadium spectators are more than WC.

Honestly, I doubt he can pull off a six-round top level tournament, in the final, assuming he gets there, he would be struggling physically.

Remember what happened last year at Glasgow WC, and this year at the All England (only five rounds and he's tired out). In the early rounds, he's a serious threat to anyone though, even if it's KM facing him.

I'm afraid Shi Yuqi lacks mental toughness and self-belief. Also in R3, Lin Dan is not that fatigued and dangerous to anyone, I believe.

One year wait is a long time for a 36-yr-old in badminton terms. I honestly won't even be thinking about it now.
