Just had a few glances as there were too many good matches playing at the same time. Didn't seem to play well at all, making many errors. While Tommy made better shots and less errors.
OTOH, I stopped watching that Sameer stuff 8-2 or something in the second. So much for pulling out of the American tour to "focus" on these big ones just to lose so tamely in R1.
Kantaphon attacking at every opportunity, not lifting as much as possible and controlling the net as well. Chen Long not smart enough to counter it, and with little to no deception to keep his young, strong and fast opponent guessing.
well i'm at workplace right now.... no wifi and phone's data plan gonna goes through the roof if i watch that......sick sick..... need to get home as soon as possible .... or i just wait for youtube recording i guess... and i need to stop following livescore with this phone..... god-level temptation....i'll just daydream ohori maybe and wait till work is done in the meantime.... grrrrr
Almost two years after his Rio'16 triumph and Chen Long is still not able to regain his top form. Don't tell me he's past his prime already at age 29. Looks to be the case.
Losing that G1 was a huge loss for CL. I am afraid this is it for CL. Should have won that G1 but he didn't. He was very tensed at the beginning to mid of G1 but he somehow managed to found his game to catch up. Now his movements are getting more and more tensed after that G1 loss. Low self-confidence seems to be his biggest obstacle at the moment.
Chen Long routed in G2, all his smashes are returned and then he's subjected to counterattack, the rest of the time it's Kantaphon who is initiating the attack forcefully and brilliantly.
