Completely normal. This string hasn't got the best of tension retention. I cut it after two weeks at the latest, sometimes earlier. You need to get it restrung if you want to have that awesome fresh new feeling again.

Unless you want to change string, your only options are prestretch and not playing as often.

 

Pre stretch as in? Do I need to tell my stringer that I wanna pre stretch my strings? Also it's not possible to not play so often hahaha

 

It happens to all strings. They feel crisp at the beginning then they lose tension and feel dull. Either string at a higher tension so you break it before it drops too much or cut it and restring. Otherwise you just have to wait til you break the string.

Rather lower it, unless you are an advanced player increasing tension doesn‘t improve your smash.

If you feel you’re hitting the shuttle fine and generating good speed in the swings, you could up it to try. Could always go back.

2lbs is noticeable enough if it’s the same stringer though even 24 wouldn’t be too high. But then again I’m stupid and take drastic steps as I can always cut the strings if I don’t like the tension.

 

Fresh Aerosonic is the perfect string. Seriously, I feel like a cheater using this string.

Also I noticed that using a stencil helps with control somehow. Less string movement due to the ink.

 

I’ve been preaching stencils on aerosonic forever. That and original 66 play so much better with stencils it’s not even funny.

 

Aerosonic is very addictive... Other strings seem dull compared to it

 

I have learnt to work with unfresh AS and Ultimax strings ...... this helps save monies too

 

It‘s possible but it‘s not as fun and easy going.

I too have learned to enjoy stale yogurt, it adds spice.

 

Can we like swap arms? I'm serious. I want my strings to last 6 months as well.

 

Swapping arms probably won't make much of a difference if you continue stringing at the inhuman tensions you do
