Bo/Mo , the Evergreen and Golden Oldies of MD versus the Youthful Champion, World No.1 Pair - their age disparity is significant
Sadly, there are only few who reflect the truth here...others hide behind their agenda and ''wahhh...he is 9-1 down'' ...sick of this forum.
this looks like it's going to be a demolition ,..... damn i wanted big fights .... not like this meek quabble
haha.. Harry Ip is saying both of the Indonesia players are better in both age and physical fitness, and it's a sure win.. so don't worry
xd observations: best xd match i've ever seen. higashino/watanabe came out a little nervous in game 1. in a close match-up it's the female that makes the difference. higashino was the difference. when they tried trapping her in the back she knows how to bait the opponent and get back to the front asap while maintaining the advantage. zsw and watanabe are clearly the 2 male superstars of xd. both have insane power, zsw has a micro edge in speed, watanabe is more creative. i'd put chris adcock at 3rd. christiensen (denmark) is 1.5 steps slower than those 3. hyq and higashino are ushering in a new generation of fast and aggressive front court play. as in holy-****-they're-fast kind of play. higashino has stronger smash defense that reminds me of a prime lilyana natsir. hyq is the perfect set-my-partner-up player. even though yutarisa won today i still consider zsw/hyq the better pair going forward until the head-to-head record favors the others. why? i think they were caught off guard today by how good yutarisa is, and zsw/hyq have proven they can adjust... but, yutarisa are my favorite pair to watch. ws observations: perfectly smooth footwork makes you overlook the fact tty is the fastest player by far. never mind her superior unrivaled racket skills. it was yamaguchi who was constantly chasing. tell me, who plays the big points better than tty? <crickets chirping> the only ?'n i have is how long will the current queen reign? i don't see any current or up and coming players having a clear path to overthrowing her.
ms observations: not the most exciting match to watch, but, always love watching lin dan in a major final. it feels normal. it came down to whether shi yuqi would lose to himself. errors in game 3 due to an aging body. there is no substitute for youth.
like most people...even you failed to mention the beauty of game 2. Lin DAN used every drop of his talent to the core to win that one.
IMHO, best matches of this tournament are: 1. PVS vs AY 2. ZSW/HYQ vs Watanabe/Higashino 3. LD vs LCW
I don't think LCW vs LD was one the best match as I think LCW has ran out of idea to play with LD. Sent from my SM-N935F using Tapatalk
yes. don't be fooled by his lanky physical appearance. pay more attention to how the defense deals with his smashes. they rarely turn the rally back to offense against him. his power, that you apparently don't see, sets up his jump drops... which score very often. you can't do that as often has he does without the defense being worried about your power smash.
