Saena Kawakami vs CM should be interesting. Let's see if the former is ready to replace her more fancied seniors Sayaka Sato, MM, Aya ohori to get in team A.
I am surprised Chirag/Satwik vs BoeMo not in TV court.
SWH vs JC would've been much better than Nishimoto vs NKLA
ADcocks vs KHN should be fun as well.
    Overall good TV court schedule

He's 34 years old now, absolutely has no same desire and preparation when he won All England for the first time in 2004.

To be honest, not impressed with China current generation, they're combination of mental weakness, low ambition and lazy bones. Can't imagine what will happen if both Chen Long and Lin Dan retired?

They are not the talent freak which the previous generation guys like Lin Dan, Fu Haifeng, Cai Yun, Zhao Yunlei were.

Chen Long isn't rare talent but this guy is hardworker and has good ambition to reach the top despite always shadowed by Lin Dan.
Time will tell whether their current best youngster Shi Yuqi could achieve something big in future years...

I think we generally tend to underestimate Chen Long's talent, because he plays that steady defensive counterattacking game. It doesn't look flashy or "skillful", but it's just another set of talent imo.

But yea, SYQs time to shine is starting to run out. Chen Long started seriously challenging LD/LCW in 2011 when he was 22, the same age as SYQ now.

Srikanth escaped yesterday by the skin of his teeth. Had Brice played patiently and waiting for his chances, he would have won the match. Poor Brice. He deserved to win that match. Srikanth was such a shame yesterday. Just watched a glimse yesterday. Brice played brilliantly in the later stages of 3rd game.
After watching sri yesterday, i had a doubt whether he was the one who reached 5 ss finals and won four of them?.

    Definitely.
You can't just expect someone to perform 100 percent after barely competing in the last two year.

My concern is that Shi Yuqi just lacks the little bit extra to reach the top, he may well end up another nearly man, always near the top but never really top of the heap, that not so much in terms of world ranking as in titles won (which, of course, should reflect his WR accordingly). An example is Son Wan Ho who was WR1 briefly without winning any prestigious titles.

LDK overcoming JOJ isn't that surprising though I expected the latter to prevail. I guess LCW prefers LDK to JOJ as his next opponent.

I supposed JOJ coming back from his injury break is still not 100 per cent match fit. It usually takes about as much to double the time to regain one's former form, I believe.

According to Steen Pedersen, it is Paul Hand (better known as a tennis commentator).

And Steen will not commentate until TUC

    Dunno.

He tweeted that reply to one Indian fan plus informing the Clark-Frost-Hand trio for AE.

Paul hand (who got into controversy because of his some remarks during a tennis match at Rio olympics)?
He is a tennis player right. How come he will talk about nuances of badminton?

He won't. Yesterday I was so bored, yes he's fluent, yes he has more phrases than GC, yes he's eloquent as well but dang he don't know nothing about badminton. You need to have some technical knowledge to commentate is such a fast game. Unlike tennis you can't discuss players and their recent performances or some personal insight all the time, cause badminton has no long breaks. And when the game's in play we expect some comments on the shots and strategies

Man I missed Steen yesterday. Morten's occasional words helped but he often takes the back seat only GC can take him through
