Can it be LKW who is the guilty player in his 20`s? Didnt he win a World junior Championships in XD or something and therefore had success in the junior stage?

There is only one player who was a Thomas Cupper, Apacs sponsored and in his 30s.

Ironically, he actually spoke about match fixing several years ago when I did a search for his name and match fixing in google.

First suspect was actually revealed by NST if you do a reverse google image search of the image in the very first article that was the OP in this thread.

BAM and sponsors. The media likes a good piece of news, and it's their job to do so anyway...

It's not that hard to figure out if they're both sponsored by Apacs. Just look up Apacs Malaysian sponsored players...

If you cannot guess from all the information that has made it so obvious to even the casual badminton fan who are the culprits then you probably do not deserve to know :p

They are both singles players, one unofficially retired last year after being an independent player for a while, before that he was unceremoniously removed by BAM from their setup and banned from playing event in Asia.

I remember a match at the 2016 Bitburger Open, http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/match.aspx?id=EF9AE50C-EF33-4E21-9404-098D0142984C&match=74, between Matej Hlinican and Jiann Shiarng Chiang, where the development of the betting odds suggested that much money was bet against Jiann, who was the favorite to win, so that I even wrote a friend to watch the match and see if he encountered something unusual, telling him that one player might lose the match on purpose. Well and he lost after making some unforced errors.
You can see some odds for this match at http://www.wincomparator.com/en-gb/match/hlinican-matej-2796024-chiang-jiann-shiarng-2714498/ The odds are very different, suggesting that they changed a lot. Bwin giving you odds of 2.7 for Hlinican, while bet365 gives you 4.5 for Chiang doesn't make sense at the same time, you could just bet one unit of currency on each and would get at least 2.7 back. It can only be, that some of the odds were already outdated at the time.

Something similar happened at the 2016 Macau Open, in the match between
Andre Marteen and Mohamad Arif Abdul Latif, https://www.turnier.de/sport/match.aspx?id=2250AA6D-483B-4CB9-9B7A-AA841518953C&match=47 . You can see some odds at http://www.wincomparator.com/en-gb/match/marteen-andre-2714485-abdul-latif-mohamad-arif-44588/ (If you change the language to German some more bookies appear).

So this 2nd player sponsored by APACS, Thomas Cuppers, in his 30's, alread not active in world tour, and here's another clue he once got suspension from BAM. very obvious :D
