I think this performance must be taken in the context of his recent injury during the nationals.....he is the kind of player who eases back after an injury (evident from the start of 2017) ....he will improve in the the coming tournaments...personally hope he takes the lin dan route....limit urself to the absolute top tourneys to minimise injury

CYF has nothing to lose now, i dont even expect her to pass the group stage lol.. This is the only chance for CHN to win their first SS title in 2017..

Some in the CHN newsmedia are also putting pressure on CYF to deliver, hoping that she breaks the duck of no SS titles in 2017. That's counterproductive as she is still growing and developing as a player

I recently saw the movie "the program "....it changed my perspective on commercial sports...and taught me not to be too invested emotionally in sportspersons...

A number of unforced errors from CYF, too eager to win

I fully agree with you, commercialized sports has its self-serving agenda.

Yeah thats the point. How the hell they even did beat ZhengChen 3times this year and each time for the title. its just amazing.

But in a way, its silly too to expect much from them all the time yeah.

CYF is playing such a controlled game, not letting herself go, a bit unusual for her

CYF is unlike her fellow young teammate, 17-yr-old Wang Zhyi, who is a very good stroke player for her age.
